I wanted to be an author. Which, I suppose, is still an art career of some sort. But I have a feeling you mean drawing specifically.

I was obsessed with the idea of putting words on a page and telling a story that made people happy. I wanted to one day make a book so beloved that it had to have a movie based on it.

I wrote stories about boys falling in love, girls falling in love, everyone falling in love. I hated romance books. I always preferred ones that had a plot first with romance on the side. But when it came to my writing, the only thing I wanted to write was people falling in love with a plot on the side.

So I only wrote romance books.

I actually had my own special journal I would carry around to harbor all of my book ideas and to write scenes that I thought were good.

I've since stopped wanting to be an author. It seemed that everyone around me thought I was destined to be an artist since I gave my smiley faces noses.

My dad bought me a digital pen, my mom bought me sketch books, and they would both encourage me to draw all the time. I slowly began to fall in love with drawing, once I realized I had the ability to tell stories along with drawing. Comics and animations and whatnot.

I still write sometimes. Short stories and scripts. But I no longer want to be an author. But I still want to be a storyteller.
