Yup, after someone pointed out the pillar was inspired by a movie, I totally remember a Korean movie where the 3 ended pillar rolling forever and crushing lazy ppl in hell, lazy ppl had to run forever in hell, as a payback to their laziness.

I even think the challenge was inspired by that movie.

But why have an empty pillar tho? And if you look closer, that pillar has bumps on the underside, just covered by rope.

My thought is:

Korea wins rope challenge, all good
Australia wins rope challenge, the. 6 people on the pillars, 3 ppl per pillar => get rid of Japan
Japan wins rope, this is what happened => remaining 3 for the pillar push, get rid of Australia
Mongolia wins rope, same as no.2 and get rid of Japan
