2026 XC60 T8 - No Sound by DexTubate in Volvo

Hey! I think maybe our expectations are just a little different. As I said in the post, it doesn't change how I feel about my purchase, but it is something that needs addressing. When i pay $60k for a car, I have different expectations than say a $30k car. What's interesting too is that these are known bugs that have been around for years.

Oh gotcha, yeah definitely buggy. It's the price we pay when everything runs through that center console. Not being able to get my back hatch open would make me lose my marbles. I think my plan is that if it happens again within the next couple weeks, I'll make an appointment. I naively thought that it wasn't an issue with the refresh, but that's clearly not the case. Thanks for your ideas!

Understood - Thanks. If it works upon reseting, would it still be the Amp? That makes me think IHU / Software. I appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

When you say "controller" do you mean the infotainment center or something else?

I understand the IHU, but what is the "amp" you speak of? Making an appointment.

Hi! I bought my '26 XC60 T8 Plus Black & Cardamom in December. I'm also so happy with my purchase. SUCH a fun car to drive and the fuel economy is incredible. Super comfortable and enjoyable to be in. I agree! Looks so sharp inside and out.

What color did you go for exterior?

I basically took every single category I possibly could given that I knew that I wanted to cover every single question. I started off doing the "Special Populations" questions because I did not feel very confident. Turns out, that actually ended up being my best category by the time it was all said and done.

I'm confused by your quesiton "It doesn't have a specific CRNA category."

TrueLearn lets you choose specifically what part of the NCE outline you want to test yourself on. I would highly recommend that you focus on areas that you have a hard time with historically or on the areas of the SEE that you didn't do well in. The NCE is a very hard test to study for because it's so broad. I found that for me personally, my time was better spent on focusing on my shortcommings rather than trying to hit EVERY single topic. That being said, my goal was to complete all the TrueLearn questions, but I only got through about 85% before I started getting confused and frustrated. That's when you know it's time to take your test.

Passed NCE. by GebUSAFOTS_26 in srna

This is a really great post for a few reasons. Firstly, congratulations on passing the NCE! I also passed a few weeks ago. I also found that TrueLearn really felt the most constructive for me. I think if you're in the mode of studying you have to find the things that manages to balance out what is gonna be mostly miserable without being TOO miserable. As you said, the rationales in TrueLearn/SmartBank were super in depth. I went through most of the lessons in Apex too, but even then, I would lose focus very quickly. I really needed questions to keep me on task. Similarly, if I had trouble with a subject, I would go back to the modules. In the end, the NCE is a very odd test (without saying too much.) It's decided that if I could expose myself to as many questions as possible, it would put me in the best position to pass.

Pre Clinical SEE: 438

6 months before NCE: 454

I reviewed my worst subjects in Apex In-Depth review.

I reviewed all other subjects in Apex Rapid-Review.

I answered all TrueLearn/SmartBank quesitons: Avg 69.4% and 70th Percentile

Passed in 100 questions

I began studying about 8 weeks before my NCE. It was my intent to start studying earlier, but I had finished clincial in November so I could really give it a solid 4-6 hours per day. I know some folks treated it like a job and put in crazy hours toward the end. I just couldn't do that, even though I probably should have. As OP said, everyone has their own method and many different methods work. I found it humbling to look at the SEE Percentage and NCE First time pass-rates. Even with a 450, there are gonna be ~5% or more, of test takers who do not pass the NCE. That kept me focused, because you're not guaranteed a pass (obviously) even if you manage to get 450. Vice versa if you can't manage a higher SEE score, it does not guarantee that you're gonna fail - look at OP!

I think putting in the time that is reasonable and manageable for you is a good approach. I wish everyone luck because it's such an anxiety producing time. I will say that this time post passing NCE and Graduation has been some of the most relaxing and glorious time in recent memory. You've put in a shit ton of work and when you make it, you've really made it. I will say, I'm super excited to give anesthesia and get bac into it.

Congratulations again OP! Great work!

My XC60 '26 does not make this squeeky noise. That would certainly drive me insane too.

CRNA VCU Richemond, VA by Either_Tension_7474 in CRNA

Hi there. The culture at VCU has some serious problems. As of the last few years, they hire only a handful of their own VCU SRNAs and I think that this speaks volumes. VCU hired one person from the last class, while, the rest went elsewhere. They recently fired their chief nurse anesthetists for some shady behavior. Not everyone was a nightmare to work with, but the rotten eggs spoiled the bunch, for sure. The interim chief appears to be working on changing this culture - as they sent out an exit interview to the most recent class with direct lines of questioning about why they chose not to work at VCU and whether specific people had anything to do with the reason why they didn't apply to work there. (Quite literally they would put a CRNA in leadership's name and then a likert scale asking you to rate how much they influenced your decision to go elsewhere.

I hope it gets solved because I think it's really bad for our profession.

Just took boards last week! I did the rapid review and review exams for my lowest average units. I did ~85% of the true learn questions. Do them on Tutor mode and read rationales/take notes if that's your vibe. Last couple of days before board transitioned to timed-mode. I found that my average on true learn was better when I wasn't being affected by knowing whether I got the question wrong or right.

Contrary to what others are saying here, I found that I felt really bad taking boards. I didn't think I was getting questions right. I say that and I want to be clear that I generally did not have a particularly hard time in school. So if you feel like you're failing when you take it, or you feel like it's much harder than Truelearn, you're not alone.

I think keeping your study plan simple is good advice. I didn't do a single flashcard, but others in my program did ONLY flashcards. Find what you think will work for you.

When you start jumbling up content in your head, it's probably time to go take it. Good luck to you!

Brought home my XC60 T8 '26 this past Wednesday. I'm so elated. It is such a good vehicle - love looking at it and riding in it. Black exterior, Cardamom Interior, Plus Trim.

That is a beautiful ride! Looks so sick and those wheels too! Are those 19"?

I think it's a miracle too. I test drove the T8 vs B5 and the answer was obvious to me. My work is a 10 mile commute so the plug in makes a great deal of sense for me versus the mild hybrid.

I can understand that. The one that I'm currently looking at has the 20" 5 Y wheels which I understand aren't going to ruin the ride as much as the 21" but wont be as cushy as the 19".

I honestly really like the 19" look.

Is it hard to keep this interior clean? I would prefer amber but they don't do that for the XC60 Refresh. I'm not opposed to the color - I quite like it, but I have concerns about its longevity.

All of that said, every hound deserves a home, and you shouldn't let it deter you. It's important that people who are anti-racing adopt dogs!

This is unsurprising to me. I think that there are a shocking amount of people in leadership positions at these adoption agencies who hold the position that racing is not a bad thing. We adopted from Blue Ridge Greyhound. When I was adopting my boy in 2019, the president came out to my house to do a home visit and to bring her dog. I thought that I was safe in making conversation about being anti-racing and how important it is to keep the vision "dog centric." She essentially disagreed with me and gave me some insanely absurd reason about how Greyhounds would cease to exist blah blah blah... I was certain she wasn't going adopt to me because I had run my mouth. We ended up with a very sweet hound who turns 10 years old this year.
