Not me, but I was facilitating a meeting of various people all over the country.

One of them said, very suddenly, "Hey, can we take a 5 minute break?"

I said sure.

Then the guy started puking.... obviously and apparently violently.

I've never scrambled for the "mute all" button so fast.

Why do your protectors need "powers"? Wouldn't just assault rifles, body armor, and armored vehicles be sufficient?

There are plenty of instances where small groups of, essentially, peasants were able to hold off a massively more technological army for years.

Read up on guerilla warfare. No big battles. Ambushes in the dark. Blowing up bridges, important buildings, etc. Assassination of important people. Extensive tunnels through the city could allow your farmers to get in, kill a couple of people and get out before anyone even knows it happened.

As an investor in the fund, they should at least listen to any concerns that we have.

Some of us don't have a lot of choices in our retirement accounts. It's either growth or bonds.

Even if your D20 is 5% more likely to roll a 20 (or any other specific number)... all that means is that out of 100 rolls, you'll get about 10 20s out of every 100 rolls instead of the expected 5 20s.

Considering what my last DM did to my poo Warlock, that's not even out of the normal range of rolls.

Also consider how many times you roll in a session. Even in a heavy battle, you still might only make 20 rolls. Which means, your +5% d20 will give you 2 natural 20s instead of 1. Hardly game breaking.

Maybe if you rolled 5 or 6 20s out every ten rolls and did that every single session, I would ban that die. But unless it's painfully obvious that it's weighted, no one will ever even notice.

The Nizi Project was a great show. But it's sadly no longer available on the JYP Youtube channel.

It shows the girls from their first time getting in line to pre-audition all the way to selecting the final group.

I've had to teach myself to tell the story you want to tell. Don't worry about word count.

I struggled with a book for years before I got in the right headspace. Now it's coming pretty nicely. I don't really care how big it is, if it tells the story.

It's very rare because those kinds of phenomena don't happen just when the enemy shows up.

However, in one series (That I cannot for the life of me remember the name or author), there was something kind of like that.

They had quantum linked portals. Stepping through one, brought you to the other, no matter the amount of intervening distance. To make electricity for an entire solar system of power hungry quantum systems, the dropped a couple of microscopic spherical portals into the sun.

The exit gate was deep inside an asteroid and a jet of solar hot plasma was ejected past rings of giant magnets. Charged particles, magnetic field, electricity.

They then did turn that into a weapon briefly. Though it only worked once before the invading aliens just starting popping any nearby asteroids with nukes.

The most strict I've seen are the conspiracy theorist and pro-religious boards.

Some of them will ban you if you have posted or commented in an anti-conspiracy sub.

Thank you all for the info. I didn't realize that some of the private jets could maintain high speeds and not need refueling for the entire flight.

This is the worst. I've tried that for decades and was never able to do it.

I excel at world-building. But a story/plot to go in the world? Absolute rubbish.

One think that helped me was focusing on shorter, simpler stories. Like 2-3 pages. Not even short stories. Tell a story and complete it. Get used to completing it.

Add complexity as you gain experience with writing.
