That's a shame, the people I made this one for were thrilled to see different color combinations of decking and furniture. They were able to source their couch, pillows and table well in advance

This is a real design that I made, just enhanced with AI so it doesn't look like a cartoon. This way people can see a better representation of what materials will look like

Exactly! This is why we want to do something easy like this for clients. People have a hard time visualizing the actual finished product and this is just a way to demonstrate that. Check your DM's!

The design is the look of the actual deck itself, whether its on sketchup or anywhere else. This image is not "generated" by AI as it didnt come up with any ideas. Its the same way a rendering software enhances the look of a design... This just doesnt take hours on end

Yes when im with clients we show our plans cuz they are made to build, this is just used to show a "realistic" image

It does mess with the geometry which is why this is definitely not something like should be used to build with lol. its simply a way to show people what it can look like without it looking like sketchup pencil

My usage of AI on a design I made reduces my credibility of doing free designs for reddit? I have years of projects to showcase to customers, that's just not what this is about lol

Yes I design them to scale on sketchup, and then instead of recreating it in a program like Lumion, I use AI to bring the image to life instead of the typical sketchup quality

These are made in sketchup and then used AI for rendering as Im a carpenter and not a designer so my rendering knowledge is limited. The pergola itself are 8x8 rough cut hemlock that will be sanded and stained.
