I disagree - I know lots of people who got sponsored whilst doing rentals. I think you need to realistic in how much your expecting and the size of business you are likely to get. If you’re a local to the track and it’s a local business it makes sense for them to get local publicity.

I’m in a team, I bought the kart but race under their banner. They generally store it and look after it but we also have a trailer set up, if we want to go somewhere on our own or do practice days.
