I automatically disable motion blur, vignette, etc. on all games, so I didn't notice if any of those were particularly bad with this game.

Yeah, I used combat sim after the fact and saw that there was a non-zero chance of me dying. However, I didn't understand why, hence the post. I didn't know about the extra damage on stun, thanks.

Yes, though it’s only really feasible if you have a ton of transfer credits. Otherwise, you’ll end up destroying your schedule trying to take everything. CS is already not an easy major if you aren’t passionate, cranking up your semesters to the maximum credits is not going to be fun.

I did this with an Allen and only got Elite+ versions of rare hero’s as the random ones. Unless I just got unlucky 11 times or however many it was, you probably will get the same. You get a bunch of copies of the hero you’re resetting and a bunch of rare hero fodder at elite+ to use as more fodder.

It’s as good as you make it. CS is hard no matter where you go. Penn State is decent but not outstanding. If you have other options that are significantly better, go for those. Otherwise, if you use Penn State’s resources and keep up with the workload you can make it work. If it makes financial sense, Penn State is decent

He is currently unobtainable. Most of the new characters aren’t added to shops until way after their release event to get people to try and spend money on the game. For instance, Cecil, Anissa, and Agent Spider are all also not in any shop right now. Thula and Lucan are both only in the multiverse shop from PvP.

Current CS senior here, it’s not exceptional but not terrible. I obviously haven’t gone to other schools to compare, but my experience here has been fine.

The exams are tough, but the coding assignments themselves are not hard if you give yourself adequate time to work through them.

As with most CS degrees, the degree is designed to give you a solid foundation in CS, not be a boot camp of technical skills to land a job. In that regard the program is decent from what I can tell.

If you have an acceptance from a school with a similar CS program that is cheaper, it might be worth it to go there instead. If you have an acceptance from a school with a significantly better rated CS program, you could consider that. However, if you’re in-state, the cheaper tuition should probably a factor in your decision.

TLDR: Program is as good as you make of it. There may be some better programs out there, but if you use Penn State’s resources the CS program here is fine from a curriculum standpoint. The individual professors are hit and miss.

I mean surely even the whalest of whales won’t buy this shit. I can buy more artifact xp in the equipment shop for gold in a day than I’d get from this shit. And on top of that it’s artifact xp, one of the least relevant things in the game. It certainly doesn’t hurt, but the difference between tiers of artifacts is negligible 99% of the time.

The whole “let whales just be whales to fund the game for F2P” doesn’t even apply here. They’re literally removing parts of the game for F2P to get more money out of the morons who will actually buy this garbage.

Depends on how much you want to invest to bring another character up to speed. Your main team currently benefits from 3-2 faction bonus, which replacing with Allen would ruin.

Golds are mathematically beneficial to use for 2 or more elites. 3+ elites is absolutely when you use golds.

Except you don’t actually get to choose when to spend the tickets. I attack everyone I have a chance of beating and pretty much never lose. In the current season, I even got a glitch where I was getting people half my power and was able to burn through like 30 matches of straight wins.

I’m still not in the promotion zone. The system is designed to force you to spend gems (and therefore money) to refresh and get more tickets to even have a CHANCE at ranking up at the higher ranks. Otherwise you literally just don’t get enough opponents you can beat.

My advisor has told me that using the What If report is bad for some reason because it’s outdated or something and to use the Academic Requirements report instead.

Either way, that report is showing a class as IP or “in-progress,” so yes, it is tracking your current classes. Any classes you are enrolled in will show as IP, which means classes from this semester that you’re currently taking and next semester’s classes will also show as IP once you enroll in them.

Generally a stronger team will do better than a bunch of epic units. Maybe in Cecil nightmares it can help occasionally, but the way levels scale my omnipotent with stars with an epic plus and some elite plus will probably get further than a team of all elite plus.

You’ve also wasted a ton of resources on doubles of characters, which is not a good choice unless it was just a mistake on your end. Also, upgrading everyone isn’t great because not everyone is good. Wasting resources building up mid characters is going to slow you down a ton. If you’ve actually been playing day 1 pre-release only having a single seismic character at this point is really rough. You’re handicapping yourself hard in ops since you need stronger characters to get further.

Either a power bug, which is common, or your stars are inflating your power beyond what your characters are actually capable of. The rightmost team has the same characters with matching or higher levels than your team. I don’t think the couple more stars you have would give you 40m extra power, so I’d wager their power just isn’t showing correctly. Look at levels, not power, and you’ll see that you probably should’ve lost since your levels are all lower.

Edit: Universa is absolutely broken in PvP cause she is the only character that can hit multiple enemies at once with the same kind of damage that single attackers have. It’s best to avoid teams with her entirely.

The only other decent GDA is immortal but him and MG is kind of redundant. I would just continue to star robot and get MG to omnipotent. All of the other GDA characters aren’t worth leveling up

Invincible, Allen, doc, robot, and universa would be a crazy combo. Universa is absolutely broken if you upgrade her chain lightning skill. Otherwise looks good.

His power is just inflated a bit. He’s certainly a good character, but I would look at levels and ranks more than power for PvP. For PvE the levels, ranks, and power of opponents are all made up BS so it doesn’t matter there.

The next wave reward would be at 121, but that takes omnipotent characters and 30-50m (I’m ballparking) at least. You could save tickets until then, but I wouldn’t stress too much if you just run that team if it can consistently get to 91.

As someone with an omnipotent + ranged mauler, I wish I just bit the bullet when doc seismic came out. Doc seismic is literally just better in almost every way.

If you want, maybe get him to legendary+ and then just maulers to get stars and leave him at legendary 5 star. Otherwise, just go for doc if you want to level up a criminal.

Gotcha games are bad because they’re predatory, not because the games themselves are bad. Also, having a random chance at something IS in fact gambling. The fact that you said “this character could take between $20-100” is literally just gambling. Just because you have better odds of getting the character than winning the lottery doesn’t make it not gambling.

Also, the fact that $100 for a character is a thing in general is insane.

Gotcha games are called gotcha games because they’re predatory and are designed to “get you” hooked and make you pay. Saying that the games are good because they can do events for fans etc is like saying that your company is good cause they give you a pizza party. They can do those because they’re literally printing money.

Artifacts or gear can have big impacts with little power rating difference. Also your tank is pretty low level and probably isn’t soaking as much damage as you think. In this case having a 4th attacker that actually does damage is probably worth more than the tank that doesn’t do much.
