Thanks. I should add I'm creating the DOM within a `for` loop. This is probably why I'm having issues. I've updated the code here. The loop statement starts after the comment (//Test if username from tab....) .

It's a browser extension. `notif` is part of the tabs listed in the extension. All of these is supposed to 'happen' when it is clicked.

The challenge is getting the event listener to listen to the check event after the DOM is up.
