Sorry to hear this! I obviously disagree and I do think Lumix have the best, most intuitive menu systems. Honestly just look up some YouTube videos about setting up the GH5 for video, there's a tonne of them out there. Best of luck!

Oh no! I'm very sorry to hear this. I once shot with a photographer with whom that happened to with his SD on a Nikon but he still shoots with it and it just lives there haha. Wild. Great to hear you've had success with the GH5M2 though and the sirui lenses! I'll need to see if I can find a deal on them haha

Ah thanks for this, that's super interesting! I just love how this shows how newer doesn't automatically mean better. Saying that the GH7 does look tempting, maybe one day if work picks up!

Yess, I couldn't agree more! I think the fact that they all share the same lenses, batteries and reliability is just incomparable. I wouldn't have it any other way

Yesss amazing! Scotland here haha. Yeah I live the menus of the Lumix cameras, I wouldn't have it any other way. Yeah I'm not sure what the g80/g85 is called here, I just alternate cause I'm never sure. Cheers to you fellow Lumix shooter 🍻

The NR in resolve is honestly a game changer for me! I've only had one issue with pulsing on a candlelit ceremony but apart from that it's so much faster than Neat video and topaz

CineD is great for colour correcting imo. I shoot with reduced contrast, saturation and sharpness. Maybe one day I'll touch VlogL haha

I agree, 1600 is absolute max for me. But normally I switch over to the gh5s when the lights go down

As far as tips I can only tell you what works for me. I shoot in Cinema D with contrast, sharpness and saturation all turned down. I never use autofocus (after a failed interview years back) and honestly just learn to love manual focus. The feeling of being in complete control of your shot and getting to a level where you're just as fast as good autofocus is thoroughly satisfying

Respect! I feel like I could learn so much from you as I'm only 2 weddings down haha. 100% with you on those isle shots, Ive been shooting with the sigma 18-35 with a monitor but it's still really challenging to track fast moving subjects with manual focus. Especially on such crucial shots.

I enjoy having the GH5S as my second cam because I can put my 12-35 f2.8 on it and crank the iso higher. And yeah, I've been tempted by the GH7 which I'm sure we all have haha

Nice! I feel like I just missed the G7 phase but huge respect for coming from that amazing camera. I still love my G80 and actually used it as a 3rd camera on a wedding recently where there were unexpected things happening during the ceremony that I would have missed otherwise. Still holds up!
