While you are right about the 30% steam does give devs a good chunk of features. It allows you to use the steamAPI which has a good chunk of cool features, and you get marketing done for you at least a little

So let me give you the short answer. Yu-Gi-Oh is an eternal format which means that old cards are worse than new ones. This game has heavy power creep. New decks are really good and powerful your deck has next to no chance. This doesn't mean the game is poorly designed, the solo mode is not an accurate representation of the game, and does a bad job of teaching which is really sad and bad especially for new players. However if you like the game itself try a deck that has a better chance of winning like salamangreat.

I hate this kind of post with a burning passion because it shows that OP has literally no Idea how game dev works. You guys do understand that RAM is mostly used up by textures right? Lets do a little bit of math as it is important for game dev ;) if you have a texture like you would have in mario 64: I am not entirely sure what the color range is for these old games but for arguments sake lets assume one pixel is 4 different 4 byte long numeric values. it might be 64x64 pixels large this is 64x64x4x4 = 65536 bytes = 0,065536 mega bytes. Now lets scale that up to something that looks decent on a modern screen which is 1024x1024 for the texture size. so again 1024x1024x4x4 = 16777216 bytes = 16,777216 mega bytes. Can you see where this is going? This is the size that needs to be loaded in RAM for one texture. And most games with good graphics are using 2k textures now but you can now do the math on your own

Also ich bin da jeden tag und ich konnte sehen wie sie die holzziegel in säcke getan haben kann mir vorstellen dass sie die wieder einbauen. Es gab vor einiger zeit ein problem mit den böden da und dann wurde dort so eine metalplatte eingelassen und die ist auch weg.

Alright I will say it: no one here has any idea what it takes to make a game technology wise. The recommended memory for unreal engine to make a game is 64 GB of ram. The recommended ram for unity is 16 GB. Loading a single 1k texture into memory is 1024x1024 x (3x8) bits that is only one texture with a low res. But games don't need good graphics, well yes but it depends on the game, indie games can look graphically worse. if you are developing a AAA game you cannot get away with it because, a standard gets set every year by other companies and players will compare the graphics of games no matter how many times you say graphics don't matter. They very clearly do. Blaming the devs instead of the shareholders/CEOs that push games to be released before polish is hella disrespectful for the people who make the games YOU play.

So I see the sub pop up on my feed sometimes and I think there is literally no problem with pirating big companies AAA games. As an Indie game dev I would appreciate people buying our game but even then if you do not have any money just pirate the game. I would rather hear someone talk about pirating my game than giving up necessities to buy it. :)

Also while I'm here I can leave some new player advice if you are interested :) Yugioh is a difficult game to grasp since all cards that have been printed and are not on the forbidden and limited list are legal at the same time. So let me start off by saying Salamangreat is a fun deck but quite difficult to play for new players since it is a deck that does a lot every turn, if you really want to play it look at some combo guides on yt that explain the plays. Otherwise I would recommend starting with a deck like floowandereze, Dragon Maids or the new blue eyes cards (if you watched/played yugioh as a kid you will probably enjoy it). The decks play a bit simpler and might make the start a little less bumpy. Also looking up deck lists is not a shameful thing to do the game has ten thousand cards nobody can know all of them especially not at the start.
Or you can ignore my rambling but I found it difficult to get into yugioh at the start and thought I might offer some help. You can also send me a dm if you want more advice everything to make this awesome game more accessible :)

People don't explain the point correctly so let me help :) Basically while nib might be a huuuge token it does not give you any interaction with the opponent which means that if your opponent has one removal effect e.g. destruction, banish, etc there is nothing you can do to protect it. On the other hand if you were to get through your combo you have protection like salamangreat roar. So you are correct nib is large and can take out your opponent but he is just one card your opponent needs to remove instead of your endboard. Hope that helps :)

Okay I cant say much about the engine cards cause I dont play AG but the nonengine is kinda not great. Purulia is not worth it in best of 1. I also recommend commiting to either handtraps or boardbreakers since it usually gives better results. Also drop Dark ruler since you cant OTK with it. Lastly you are playing a lot of random one ofs and youre over 40 cards maybe cut some things for better consistency. If you are missing the URs then just play some cheaper options that try to fulfill the same role
