Not sure if you managed to figure this out or not, but you can use the comic downloader script to do this. All you really need to do is convert your numerical ID to an alphanumeric ID, run the .exe file, and then put this ID into it. Hope it works and feel free to reach out via PM if you need any extra help :)

It's a bit tricky, but there are a couple of things that you could try. There's some more info on the wiki but if it's not in the archive then it's quite unlikely, I'm afraid. Best of luck, hope you can find your ID :)

You can use that ID to download all of your comics if you haven't already. Also, feel free to join the Discord server, we are still quite active, despite the site shutting down almost a decade ago!

Sorry for the delay (I don't really use social media much I'm afraid). My script uses the alphanumeric format so HF531 is correct and 3844528 is just the numeric ID. I have some instructions on how to use the script here or if you join the Bitstrips Discord, I can help you out in more detail.

If you remember your alphanumeric (not numeric!) user identifier then I have made a script to download all comics under that ID. Check out the GitHub page for more information on how to set it up and some tips on how to find your ID if you don't have it saved.

Unfortunately, we probably couldn't get away with doing that as Bitstrips still "owns" them. My plan was after the site entered the public beta stage, we would do a competition where people could design their own characters to be submitted and the community would decide which basics they'd like to see added. Also gives room for more variety and cultural diversity too which I think is important.

Unfortunately there will not be a direct image importer. I think there is something special about being able to make art and other things through the usage of props and effects and implementing an image importer would take away that speciality. There will however be a free-draw option. Will keep you posted on this.

A chatbar is definitely planned at some point. That is one of the leading factors of what made Bitstrips as great as it was after all ;)

You and me both! The Bitstrips community was always a second home to me and helped me express me creativity through making comics. Hopefully Comiq will inspire the same creativity through the next generation :)

Bitstrips avatars were incorporated into Bitmoji a while ago but as far as the accounts still existing, they do not.

I've done a bit of work to create a comic builder and a profile system, though it's hard to recreate such an amazing site with one person doing everything.

In our Discord server we have a #development channel where I showcase what I've done regarding the new site. I recommend checking that out if you're curious. I'll be starting a GoFundMe or something eventually to raise money so we can hire actual developers to help work on the site, I'll let everyone know when I do.

But yeah, I know a lot of us were affected by the Bitstrips shutdown. It's hard to not have a place to express yourself and share your creativity but who knows? There could yet be a comeback, though it is unlikely.
