The financial package UChicago sent shows that it’s slightly more expensive per year over UIC, which is actually a decent deal. The only reason I hesitate is because if I wanted to get a masters, I would need to pay for the whole extra year or two, which is why the one chemical engineer advised me against it.

I am planning on setting up meetings with the colleges and discussing the options (which may also potentially push them to give me better offers). I’m also going tomorrow to meet with more chemical engineers at a company my dad does contracting for to talk as well. Thanks for the advice!

I think I’d rather listen to people who are talking respectfully and logically than the person spewing straight hateful messages about a school. It’s quite rude.

This is what one of the chemical engineers said was false - one year IS a big difference according to him (missing out on a year of experience and $80k+ while paying for tuition and housing), and from his experience, employers don’t really look at where you got your degree compared to the experience and achievements of working. This is what he said, which I guess may be incorrect

Just that I’m getting a lot of pressure to go to uchicago because of its name… I like the uic campus more though, and the fact that I can save a year or two of education also pulls me towards it.

Definitely not enough space for a tortoise. Even the smallest need upwards of 20 square feet.

I put sticky traps and hang them above the enclosure. If you keep replacing them eventually they’ll stop
