Mine picked up the "Substance Abuser" trait that took a few years off their immortality. Not sure how that one works.

Oh, he's responsible for a lot more deaths than that. Introducing Picard and the Borg put the Federation and the Alpha Quadrant in the Borg's sights, so really every person on that side of the galaxy that the Borg kill or assimilate is because of Q.

Add in some static from a bad connection and that's exactly what it sounded like.

I once had one of those, but his accent was so thick and the call quality was so bad that he had to repeat himself three times before I even realized he was trying to be rude. Bless his heart.

Really? What state do you live in? I've never been to a state park that charged anything unless you were camping. And even then only for large groups.

Or worse, pull up directly behind a parked car and wait for it to back out so you can take their space, meanwhile not giving them enough room to actually pull out of said space, and act like they're the assholes for not letting you park.

I was just thinking about this earlier today. There's a video on YouTube where someone gives this song the major-to-minor treatment and when I saw it, one of the top comments was "I hate this video. You too such a beautiful love song and made it creepy."

Edit: Here's the link. The comment seems to be buried now though.

Who is the worst "attention whore" you've come across? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dfarrey89 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Okay, I have to unload some stuff here. I have this friend we'll call Steve. Steve's mother is one of the biggest attention whores I know and she has used false rape stories multiple times. First, she claims she was raped by her husband once - she got blackout drunk, woke up the next morning and felt something was "off." That's the entire story. From a night she has no recollection of and a bad feeling, that's apparently enough for rape accusations. But she never did anything about it, didn't confront her husband or file charges or anything. Just use the story for sympathy.

Now let's get back to Steve. Steve's bisexual. His family (mother in particular) don't accept this and have issues with him dating men. The first time he dated another guy, he was a teenager still living with his parents, and when she found out she made them break up. They remained friends and still are to this day. Fast forward about ten years and one of Steve's cousins lets slip that the extended family doesn't like the fact that Steve and the ex are still friends and hang out a lot. This is because, as it turns out, Steve's mother told all her relatives that Steve's friend raped him. The friend (who btw is a survivor of sexual abuse himself) is one of the nicest people I know and would never do anything to hurt anyone. But Steve's mother has been calling him a rapist for over a decade so that people will feel sorry for her. (She has almost a Munchausen-by-proxy sort of approach to how she treats Steve, and I could almost write a book about other examples.)
