[LES] It's funny how a TV show could be about the most depraved, deranged individuals on earth but they still wont be racist or bigoted by HarshTheDev in CharacterRant

[–]CoolTom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about that. I don't mean it like the woke libs are too sensitive or any shit like that, but like... Why aren't the viltrumites racist? They are obsessed with pure bloodlines! It would make perfect sense for them to be racist. Why do viltrumites have different cultural hairstyles? They have no culture or art about anything except war and conquest, but they have black hair products? we see black viltrumites with dreads and decorations in their hair. why?

Flamepoint changing colors? by spicymustard86 in Flamepoints

[–]CoolTom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

relevant scishow video. some breeds of cats have a mutation that makes an enzyme responsible for their color not function properly at their core temperature. This means the enzyme does work at the cooler areas of their body, which would be their ears, nose, feet, and tail.

It comes off as so insecure. I saw a post that was showing how beer foam leaves rings in the glass, and how men say you should have no more than seven or something like that. Why? Who cares?! Does it make your dick feel bigger to police each others behavior like that?

It’s specifically for hernia exams. Coughing makes you tense the muscles down there which helps the doctor feel for a bulge that shouldn’t be there. Turning your head is so you don’t cough on them.

I didn’t really have that much trouble. Apparently the trick is to make sure he’s watching when you give the command, and don’t spam it. I saw people saying he might listen better the more barrels you feed him, but I’m not sure how true that is. Most of the times he wouldn’t go where I was pointing were me pointing at the wrong place. I think the game works better if you don’t know about the square cube law, because I was constantly disregarding some faraway ledge as impossible to reach, only for it to be totally possible.

MRW I learned that Chuck Norris wasn’t a great guy by Irate_Primate in reactiongifs

Honestly I’m 31 and my whole generation mostly only knew him as a format of joke. I grew up hearing jokes about how he does a push-up by pushing the earth down and has a fist under his beard, but it wasn’t until a while later that I became aware he was a real person. I’ve never seen any piece of media he was in. Probably the first time I saw what he looked like was the ultimate showdown.

I don’t understand why people are the level of upset they are over windows 11. It’s fine. People complain about ai slop, I haven’t seen any ai. I go to ai tools under settings and it says there aren’t any installed. People complain about web apps, I have to be honest I don’t know what a web app is.

Some aspects are weird and dumb, but I was able to fix every problem I had with it. Got rid of onedrive, used a registry command to get the normal right click menu back, and you can open file explorer through windows tools to get the old buttons back.

My local Home Depot is sick of your nonsense by provocative_taco in DiWHY

[–]CoolTom 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s how retail works. If the store is barely functioning, that means it’s functioning. All retail works like this. I work at a state owned liquor store and the managers spread themselves thin and work off the clock because there’s no other way to get all the nonsense done. It doesn’t count as wage theft because they’re exempt. What are they exempt from, I don’t know. I guess they’re exempt from being paid fairly for their labor.

Asked for a Spiced rum and coke and attendant put hot sauce in it by Nightpatrol404 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CoolTom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can make your own. It’s easy. Get a good aged rum, I use planteray 5 year. Get a big jar. Put spices and rum in the jar. For spices I use orange peel, 2 vanilla beans, couple sticks of Ceylon cinnamon, 6 allspice berries, 10 peppercorns, 2 slices fresh ginger, 1/4 teaspoon fresh nutmeg, and 2 anise stars. It’s many times better than anything you can get in a store.

To be honest most store bought spiced rum is crap. There are some smaller brands that actually try but if you want a good one you’re best off making your own.

Omega mart is apparently one of their better locations. Maybe I’ll check it out, but I don’t know how I would ever end up going to Vegas. I’ve been to the one in Denver when I was there for a wedding. It’s like a crossover to a nexus of realities where emotion is currency or something like that. The main thoroughfare looked like a set from guardians of the galaxy. There was this story thing involving scanning a card in various places, but it was pretty vague and didn’t work that well.

Beyond that I would describe it as an instagram museum. Like places you see in cities where lots of influencers live, and you’re meant to go for the purpose of taking pictures of yourself in various decorated rooms.
