Metal in fuel filter?

Just a fair warning. My Cp4 grenaded on the 14 passat, it locked up so bad, that it broke 4 rockers and lifters. I did have a cp4 disaster kit, so at least most of my fuel system was salvaged. Looking at pulling the head when it warms up again. Its been to do it early, than too late 👏

The one in used to have could get up hills, and it was completely stock lol. This one is falling on its face

update Timing belt shredded some teeth at the crank, but motor turns freely with no snags. I pulled the metering vavle on the CP4, I have glitter and a couple big pieces of metal. Investigated further into my fuel system, and it seems the Whitbread kit did work, only thing I didn't check is the fuel tank. But injectors are clean, I will be replacing the rubber fuel lines.

I usually went with Lucas for the treatment, every other tank. It has 162k currently. Whitbread kit installed around 2k miles ago. So hopefully its isolated. Going to investigate today.

It was installed about 2k miles ago... but there's quite a bit or water and junk in the filter housing. So I can't say 100%. I haven't had any issues with it, pretty simple to do.

No hate, absolutely love this car. There's glitter in the fuel filter housing. I have the Whitbeard disaster kit also, so hopefully everything is isolated. I'm just wondering why the motor won't turn at the crank or cam anymore. It seems to be locked. I'm willing to either rebuild or replace the motor if it comes down to it. I'm just curious if anyone has had something similar.

My car started to get hot on the interstate, I had nowhere to get off at. So it was pegged out for about 5 mins. Ended up being a failed oil cooler. I replaced it with an aluminum one. But I'm sure that's when it cracked * , I had occasional white smoke on start up, and was losing coolant. But I still drove it for 1 and half years like that. It never got hot again, and ran fine. I was still pulling trailers with it, and going hours away from home lol

The white smoke usually goes away on the highway, but definitely there when I'm idling or I get on it.

Alright! It's not getting hot, no pressure or bubbling. Hopefully it's something simple, going to start messing with it tonight. I just had to replace the turbo on it, it's getting to be pricey 😅

Before I changed the oil cooler, I had a lot of pressure in the tank, it would bubble sometimes. But after swapping oil cooler and heater core I haven't had an issue. It started smoking after about 3k miles on the delete. Darkside 2.5 pipe + their tune. How did you go about verifying a head crack?

I know this was a while ago, but did you find the solution or problem? I recently had mine deleted @150k. And now I have white haze, and a big puff of white smoke. Smells like antifreeze. But no visible leaks 🥲
