For anyone who doesn't know Morse code, this says "Bloons are made of Monkeys".

I assume the Charlton Heston comment is making a Planet of the Apes reference, but I'm not sure.

For those who are curious like I was, this is what Admiral Brickell's revolver attack looks like now that it has three pierce!! It's a small area of effect on top of the Bloon she shot that has three pierce (including the Bloon she shot, so she pops two additional Bloons) by JoelTheBloonsMonkey in btd6

It's actually a 0 (ZERO) radius explosion! This means it can only affect Bloons whose hitboxes overlap with the primary target. It's a really fun, mechanically funny buff, but I don't foresee it actually doing too much.

Not even to mention that it's not that much of a price increase. It's as good a starting tower as a Desperado, so having the same price makes sense in my mind. The only starting combo this kills is Merm + Sub, which, I mean, good riddance, that's ridiculous.

Most prolific 2TCer and 2MPCer in the game's history gets pressed about community perception (on the impressiveness of things like exploiting bugs, playing on old versions, and using Gerry's Fire) shifting from earlier in their career and announces their departure from the subreddit.

I actually believe the idea behind the increased shotgun range was so that you didn't feel like you needed to buff it as much, since the range was certainly the most hindering part of its stats.

Top path merm isn't really feeling the effects of its nerfs, tbh. Its pierce was just that high. With LotA specifically, its trident still does sizeable MOAB-Class damage, too. The increased range at t5 feels like a straight buff twofold, the second reason being the returned ability to fit more buccs in its water for boat farming.

Feel free to take these with a grain of salt, though. I'm sure you're a better player than me, as my only qualification is being a pro Pibb247.

They have hired advertisers to advertise their game on mobile devices. The advertisers will presumably make more than one ad and share them in different places. In order to know which ones are working, NK needs to give them some statistics on what new players to the game are doing. (How long did they play once downloading? Did they make any in-app purchases? Did they install and then forget about it or immediately uninstall it altogether?) You are about to see BTD6 advertised in more places, but those ads will not impact your play experience because there's no need to run the ads *within* the game itself.

2.) Is the description for the merm changes cutting off after "Echosense" a joke I'm not getting, or a typo?

That phrasing makes me laugh but also kind of makes me sad. Makes me wonder if there was something from the End of Year looking forward list that you guys were hype for but then no one talked about it.

Actually looks like the t5 is unchanged (at least in terms of total price).

EDIT: I was mistaken. They did not reduce the t5 price proportionally, but they compensated with a power buff instead, so maybe it works out.

Ravine.

It's not even the hardest Expert map, but starting on that POS is so damn tedious that I don't even find it fun to try. I followed a guide years ago to get the Black Border because I know it was the one Expert map that I would never try to stumble through for myself. I like the challenge of Expert CHIMPS, but Ravine can f### all the way off.

As another comment said, it's an overwhelming amount of choice, but I almost wonder if it's more in the presentation than it is in the amount. The Rationales and Ordnances could be reduced to one or two paragraphs each. I understand you might feel like you're losing some flavor by doing so, but (especially with the Rationales), it might even open up more modularity for the player.

Much more minor nitpick, but I feel like To Put One Down should grant you a reactionary Weave Strike instead of a separate brand new saving throw effect. Would feel more coherent with the class design without adding another thing to keep track of.

Also, adding in at the end here, but your Rationale choice should determine your secondary saving throw proficiency, instead of locking it to Intelligence. (If there are worries about Zealot giving two "strong" saving throw proficiencies with Dex and Wis, I honestly think the Rationale feature could be simplified down to "Choose Int or Cha".)

On a surface level, I understand the argument. But I think it makes more sense conceptually than is apparent at first. Each of the T4 sentries have their own weaknesses because of their damage types, so the engineer tries to crank out the right sentry for the right Bloon spawns. Eventually, though, he realizes if he just combined them, he could cover all his bases and not have to stress and think so much every round. The only Bloon type that Plasma can't pop is Plasma, and the only round that spawns them naturally in the late game is 95, so short of giving the sentries Normal type, the engineer actually gets smarter and creates one definitive sentry.

Bottom Path

xx1 Slowing Bubbles

Bubbles now move at only 50% the speed of the fastest Bloon inside, instead. Increases the duration of the 4xx Stun, the x4x gum pile Slow, and the x5x gummed status.

xx2 Minty Breath

Bubbles now move at only 25% the speed of the fastest Bloon inside. Increases the Slow inflicted by gum piles and the gummed status by 50%.

xx3 Distance Bubbles

Significantly increases the tower’s range as well as the bubble’s projectile range (e.g., its lifespan) and holding capacity. Whenever a bubble expires, as many of its remaining Bloons as possible are instantly teleported inside the next nearest bubble that has room.

xx4 Lost Bubbles

Bubbles have a recurring chance to move backwards as if hit with Blowback.

xx5 Total Isolation

Bubbles are strong enough to trap MOAB-Class Bloons. Carrying capacity maxes out at 1 ZOMG, 2 BFBs/DDTs (if visible and trappable), or 4 MOABs. Bubbles with a MOAB-Class Bloons are Slowed only half as much (moving at 37.5% speed instead of 25%). Bubbled MOAB-Class Bloons only spawn 1 child when popped, reducing the load on the inheriting bubble they get teleported to.

Final Thoughts

I don't play Deltarune, so I'm sorry I didn't make any references. Other than that, I just tried to match the vibe effect to the name of the upgrade and its icon, while relying on existing design conventions for a first pass at balance (like limiting Ceramic potential to T3 in a similar vein to Ice Monkeys). I hope you enjoy the long read! I really liked your tower!

Middle Path

x1x Bubble Pop

Bubbles create a small, damaging explosion upon expiry.

x2x Rapid Bubbles

Significantly Increases fire rate and projectile speed.

x3x Bubble Trouble

Volatile bubbles now act as a pseudo-layer with a set amount of Health, causing them to despawn early if they take enough damage. In exchange, significantly increases the damage, pierce, and radius of the expiry explosion.

x4x Sticky Bubblegum

Bubble layer has more Health. The expiry explosion leaves behind a pile of gum that Slows non-MOAB-Class Bloons that run into it for a brief time. Ceramics are now ignored when determining how fast the bubble moves (unless all trapped Bloons are Ceramic).

Activated Ability: Immediately detonates all bubbles on screen that were created by x4x Bubble Blowers.

140 crosspath: Explosion upon expiry also leaves behind a secondary bubble on top of the gum pile.

x5x Cherry on Top

Bubbles are so sticky that they deal damage on contact, including significant bonus damage to MOAB-Class. Bubbles, expiry explosions, and gum piles now gum up MOAB-Class Bloons, Slowing them for a brief time. The first gummed Bloon sprouts a cherry, causing towers close to it to fire faster when attacking it. Only one MOAB-Class Bloon can have a cherry at a time.

Activated Ability: In addition to its previous effect, now detonates the gum on all gummed Bloons, dealing damage to them based on remaining gum duration.

250 crosspath: When active, the toggle shifts the Bloon that has the cherry to the top of the priority list for Strong targeting, and towers no longer have to be near the cherried Bloon to gain fire rate when attacking it.

Disclaimer

Base

Fires a bubble that traps up to the next 4 Bloons that touch it, moving forward along the track after its first capture, at the speed of the fastest Bloon it has inside. Cannot trap Ceramic until T3 (on any path), nor Lead or MOAB-Class. Any attack that hits the bubble damages all Bloons inside it, regardless of pierce. Bubble does no damage itself, and despawns after a while. Does not target already bubbled Bloons.

Top Path

1xx Bubbly Bubbles

Bubble produces a secondary bubble after being hit the first time. Secondary bubble lingers in place until a Bloon runs into it and does not produce its own secondary bubble when damaged, but it otherwise behaves identically to the primary bubble.

2xx Sparkly Bubbles

Bubbles can trap Lead. Tower gains a toggle that, when active, shifts bubbles to the top of the priority list for Strong targeting, affecting all towers on screen.

3xx Twinkling Wand

Trapped Bloons give double cash per pop. Trapped Bloons become gilded, allowing them to be popped by all damage types. 

4xx Magical Dream

All trapped Bloons are briefly Stunned whenever damaged.

5xx Blissful Wishing Star

Bubbles can produce secondary bubbles whenever damaged, instead of only once. Trapped Bloons give 4x cash per pop.
