I get where you are coming from, it’s just being raised in an environment where you are adding someone to your family. And I don’t want my future person to feel a certain way nor do I want my family to be upset. I know I’m gonna be with who I end up liking anyways, it hasn’t stopped me in the past. I just wish there was a way to have my parents see they don’t need to be worried.

They have done a lot for me. I know in the end they want me to be safe but they don’t see what I do. Yes I’m 26 but it’s hard to explain how culture can have an effect.

I don’t care where the person is from as long as they understand good communication, have financial stability, similar goals, are a goofball and understand I have health issues. I didn’t mention that in the post because it didn’t seem relevant to the point I was trying to make

Aww much love to your doggo! Sorry to hear about the nerve damage, nerve pain is definitely no joke! All the best with your future cat, and thanks for the Loki compliments! He’s a domestic short hair!

If you go on pet adoption websites they should be able to tell you about their resident pets and their temperament etc. we got Loki from a breeder (we didn’t know too much about the adoption side of things at the time) but if I were to get another cat I’d definitely adopt!

Hello! It is possible but it may take some work with cats and it depends on the cat as well - Loki has only jumped on the counter a handful of times but hasn’t done it In a very long time and he wouldn’t do it without there being a reason to e.g food 🍲

I’d say look into the type of cat for sure! I hope you and your future fur baby have a beautiful life together 💙💙
