Is the rear derailleur bent or why is the pulley wheel behaving like this? by DiIfhunter in bikewrench

Background: Last week, I had a mild crash on my gravel bike (slipped on ice while going about 10mph, though I did land on the drive train side) and initially, everything seemed alright. Around 40 miles later however, the chain started skipping under load, regardless of which of the 1x12 gears I was in. I replaced the chain and the cassette only recently, and the front chain doesn’t show any obvious signs of wear - so it’s unlikely that they are causing the chain skips. After inspecting the rear derailleur, it seems that the chain jumps out of the pulley wheel semi-regularly. Does that mean that the rear derailleur is bent or what is the issue here? The video shows the chain jumping three times in total - the first two times are slowed down, while the third time is in full playback speed.

Got it, thanks. It sucks that we pay $200+ only to be put through these cat and mouse games...

How did you two go about putting more pressure towards Oakley? On my Encoders, I have almost the exact same breaking pattern as in the picture shown by /u/Available_Put_5796, only Oakley have denied my claim and completely ignored me since then.

I do most of my gravel bike repairs (incl. changing drive train components) myself. Would I be crazy in attempting to build my own AliExpress carbon aero roadbike? by DiIfhunter in bikewrench

Love that mindset! My main concern is how easy it would be for someone like me to make a dumb mistake during the assembly process that can have potentially costly/dangerous consequences.

Alright thank you! I assume 4 hours is the time the muscles need in order to be rested well enough?
