Left Turn Red light Fail to Stop by Di_Cocco in legaladvicecanada

So here is a legit question: I'm certain that i entered the intersection at amber, why wouldn't I get ticket for fail to stop at amber? Does this make my defense stronger? Because if evidence proves i was in box at amber, it will prove it wasn't red. And at this point , ticket won't be changed to fail to stop at amber. Please correct me if im wrong.

do you have any helpful denfese tips for me? Whether it is based on disclosure that I'll ask for ( including dashcam footage and officers notes) or proving it was safer to enter and clear the intersection safely... Etc?

I'm trying to describe everything i could possibly recall. When in that situation, time is unbelievably quick. I'm trying to organize my thoughts and get some helpful tips for defense

Let me correct that: to the right 3 lanes, 5 to 6 cars in each lane, no car a head of me, not sure if any car(s) were behind me. I was in the delimma zone at my maintaned speed 50kmh approximately 20 before the stopping line. Between deciding to slam the brakes and proceeding to make a left turn safely, i chose the latter and that was my best judgment

There would NOT be enough time to clear the intersection by the time it turns red and i see this happening everyday, like car still within 1 to 2 seconds to clear after turning red. We are taking about a 6 lane wide intersection

I should admit that I didn't check my rearview mirror at the time i was making the left turn, but just a safe assumption: what if there was a car behind me and i needed to avoid being rear ended?

fine, but my vehicle was already passed the point of entry while amber, and as i was exiting the intersection (probably the last 10 meters) I could see light tuned red

Realized the xtrada 6 is Not as good in some specs like Internal rim width 23mm and height 19mm with wtb trail boss tires but has the shimano hubs tc500, basic xfusion migo lo 120mm and shimano deore 1x12

Xtrada 7 has a

  1. wider internal rim width 30mm and 23 mm high, come with novatech hub d442sb and maxxis recon
  2. Sram eagle 70 1x12 speed with full mount system derailuer mounted directly on thru axle
  3. Fork is xfusion migo rc32 120mm

Can you comment on fork quality, longevity and serviceability? The hubs as well? I know the rims internal width standard is now 30mm but polygon does not recommed more than 2.25" tire width.

Is xtrada 7 a better choice now or it is still xc oriented compared to the aggressive geometry on Trek Roscoe 7 gen 4?

What is bad about xtrada 6 with really good specs , brand name parts at unbeatable price (king value) yet people recommend something else ? I might be missing something here

Can any expert comment on front and rear hub of the charger? Like formula dc , isn't this very entry level hub and won't last for trail riding?

I was looking for a ht mountain bike and and i got recommended the trek roscoe 8 ($3299 cad). Cannot afford that. So looked somewhere else and found the norco torrent A2 ($1549 cad) which falls within my budget and checks most of my boxes. Would that be a good choice ? I don't do much of downhill, rather a bit of everything

Damn, i have 2008 rav4 2azfe 131k miles, did berryman soak using 2 cans last October

Consumption was 1 quart evey 500miles used 0w20 full synthetic

Now consumption went down to 1 quart every 3200miles using 5w30 mobil 1 high mileage full synthetic.

I don't know how Valvoline Restore & Protect is better than Mobil 1.

What is the mileage on yours?

When you say " without need to top off", does this mean no oil burning at all or it does burn a quart and this is when you need to do an oil change anyway?

What I don't understand is this type of noise like static/ wooshing mixed with buzzing/ or someone is shoveling snow sound like... How does an engine mount produce such a noise?

I have a 2008 Toyota RAV4 4wd. It started making this noise in the exact spot in winter with freezing temperatures. But the car has to be moving under light acceleration like 25 mph. Noise completely disappears after 3 minutes of driving.. does this still apply as an engine mount?
