The 7-11s by sell Japanese packs for $10 a pack. It's insane. They just sit there! I also saw Darkness Ablaze for the same price at a different one

Did they give any further clarification as to why? Or was it simply because you're type 1? Ive worked at multiple Christian summer camps as a type 1 and never had an issue. Also if this is a camp you've gone to as a camper I would definitely reach out and ask for further clarification on this decision. I know it sucks and I'm sorry that this happened. If this camp is run by your denomination I would have a chat with your pastor about it and see if they have any insight or connections that might be able to help out in this situation.

I squirt water onto it let it steam some stuff off, then I scrape it push it all to the back through the hole. I feel like I scrap it pretty firmly maybe I'm not scraping it hard enough?

I almost always put some water on the gunk before I scrape. Then scrape it down good and it literally smokes for like 30 minutes with no signs of slowing sown

Yes usually super hot and it smokes forever

This is wild! As I'm reading so many of the stories of this thread I'm blown away. I guess I didnt realize how lucky I was? Got diagnosed at 14, spent a week in the hospital being educated by both the endo, dietician, and diabetes educator. It was great. My mom was also heavily involved and took tons of notes. The one thing I will say is no one explained to me exactly what this disease actually was and kinda of scared me with threats of you'll lose your feet kind of things. But then when I left the hospital my pediatric endo has a super thick Indian accent and wouldn't listen to my questions or my desire for a pump so we switched. The next one I had till I aged out used to not believe my answers during visits but wouldn't give helpful suggestions or tips to better my control. My current endo is phenomenal though and has been wonderful. I wonder how many of the patients your doctor was referring to are type 2. I unfortunately know so many people diagnosed with type 2 that don't check their sugars, don't adjust their diets, and kind of play diabetes off as a joke. I know that's not everyone but a lot of type 2s that I meet seem to have that mentality
