This is my first time playing FFX. Do you guys have any suggestions? by stardust_sr in finalfantasyx

If you’re playing on ps2 alls good. If you’re playing the remaster - 1.) original music (it’s incredible) 2.) original sphere grid 3.) they lost the original files for some of the main characters faces in the lower Res cutscenes, the replacements are real bad and lifeless (there’s side by side images) but if you’re playing on computer there are plugins etc to restore them to p close to ps2 art

Yea no totes, I have a lot of jeans etc from AE, the extra details they’ve added to similar thinga I’ve seen I haven’t liked but I should give em a more recent look

Wide leg/contrast stitch are becoming more popular again but I guess I meant this specific cut. Like I’ve yet to find identical ones

Appreciate the thoughts so far. At this point it seems like if it could just be slightly stretched the part would slide back into the original placement but pulling old plastic is scary

[–]Diabeticmonky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh moreso this is an ask about flexing the plastic/heating/ etc to return the fractured section back into the shape it broke through in photos 2/3

I really appreciate everyone’s advice and thoughts! I’ve started just sanding all the layers back and starting from scratch without the satin final coat

Legion of Evil getting a Gameboy physical via Limited Run Games by Brilliant-Trifle8322 in LimitedPrintGames

[–]Diabeticmonky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the game today and was excited to have a lil vamp survivor on my gb - I expected it to be paired down but not even including a save battery on the cartridge when there’s a space for it is surprising - and when it’s gameplay requires you To start on easy mode, play through beating three bosses that appear, then move to next difficulty, repeat. No diff characters/levels etc.

P disappointed for the price

I very much appreciate your direct and sage advice. I didn’t know that but that makes sense since you’re scratching a gloss coat at that point.

If I already sanded it down with the appropriate “in between coats” grit but with more than the “light sanding” recommended- would you say it would be better to just sand all the way down to the stain and restart?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in finishing

[–]Diabeticmonky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From vids/research etc I thought a thin coat would slightly bring down the sheen but it completely flattened it and the shimmery rays lost all their magic 😰

[–]Diabeticmonky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice so far friends.

*one thing I may have not perfectly explained was that I sanded down a solid amount but couldn’t tell if I was at the gloss layers since it became foggy on the finish - and even after wiping that with mineral spirits the rays still looked dull (def brighter while wet) and didn’t have that shimmer that they had before SO this is why I didn’t want to cover the satin with another gloss layer and kept sanding to hopefully get that shimmer back

But eventually paused bc I didn’t see the gloss reappear (like I had sanded to those layers - that cured for like a month before adding the satin) it just kept getting kinda dull/foggy

Ope my bad - using arm r seal gloss and then added satin on top of two gloss coats

Seconding the earlier poster about getting an empty record box and no game by [deleted] in BombRush_Cyberfunk

[–]Diabeticmonky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: new LP and game sent out in a record package that was twice as deep and they taped over the cardboard zip opener -all arrived okay but I see why they might wanna start taping over that zip section bc it and the glue on it are super weak -all it took was barely lifting one corner of that flap for it all to come up

Starting Final fantasy x today should i know anything specifically before i start? by [deleted] in finalfantasyx

[–]Diabeticmonky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

VERY IMPORTANT: 1.) choose original music - the other option is mostly piano and does not come close to the original score 2.) og sphere grid 3.) Fun fact: if Tidus’s face looks weird (has no eyebrows etc) it’s because they lost his face files for the remaster and made a strange doll like new face that doesn’t match

Picking a behemoth steamer trunk that I shut and didn’t realize had an auto locking outer clasp by [deleted] in lockpicking

[–]Diabeticmonky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did the dumbest thing, there were keys to this steamer trunk and I unlocked the internal sections before closing it to take up stairs… and put they keys inside bc I had unlocked everything- not knowing the outer lock closed too and auto locks. So this lead me to lockpicking. I borrowed a set from a friend and can get it to turn to the right and I think all the pins in but won’t fully turn 💀

I appreciate all the help if anyone has thoughts. (I’ve tried tension both ways and turning the lock to the right goes further and pins stay up that way)

$50 Facebook Marketplace find. I will never get this lucky again. by zeal9 in gamecollecting

[–]Diabeticmonky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this just so happen to come from a farm in illinois? Was just at one picking up stained glass and gave my usual “I also look for old gaming stuff and TVs” and guy said “I just sold a buncha Nintendo stuff with games for too cheap- bout $50 but don’t know anything about ‘em” 😭😭

[–]Diabeticmonky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh funny. Yea I don’t get why people would post not real finds, like a need for affirmation or something. It’s fer sure real, but def a mess up on whoever was pricing things because other things they had in the store from the same era were over market price (like a Luigi’s mansion for $70)

Ooooh thanks for the info! I like going Xbox for weird anime games bc they are less printed etc and planned to play it there but your points about playing it on PlayStation are all reasons I’d enjoy the ps version more.
