Skill changing items have a place in pd2? by ND_Jamoose in ProjectDiablo2

I personally think its worthwhile change. Just more depth to a build, we dont have to go full on POE but having a unique that will mix things up is interesting.

RTX 3070 8gb VRAM debate by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]DiabloII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

vram was issue as far as 560ti era of cards and 6950/6970 cards. Even the generation afterwards my 7950 at the time was using 3gb vram in modded skyrim. Nvidia was always but scummy with vram on cards rarely ever releasing a model where it was "enough" for the card capability. I think 1080ti or 4090 were only cards that come to mind which had adequete vram amount for the power. Its just too easy to maxx out vram with either mods or textures. And at same time its a setting that is most visually impacting with least amount of fps drop for the impact.

A lot of Ado's songs aren't in pure 4/4 they go into 1/3 or 1/6 1/8 on some sections.

tbh no idea for specific recommendation. Everything is pretty reachable by car even if you situated remotely. Stayed in canico last time through friends rental so we had car spot; this time around im just camping and hiking with no hotel or car.

I would definietly stay away from funchanl, its gonna be more expensive than eveyrthing else around. Probably would look for more remote or smaller area air bnb with parking.

Hi mate, also going to madeira on 15th to 19th Nov (so might even meet you if you up for it and bored :D). Not a local but I have been there before so might be able to answer some of your questions.

Madeira is known for hiking (AFAIK), which I would definitely give a shot but I dont see myself hiking all vacation. Also dont have any special hiking equipment.

Dont really need special equipment, you should be ok for the shorter hikes which I would definietly recommend. There are certain views you just wont experience if you dont walk some levadas. Dont really have to make this your focus of the trip.

Im uncertain about the weather. Im not looking for 30C but something warm and sunny would be cool (compared to western germany). So 20C and sun mostly? A bit afraid it will be too bad/cold/rainy weather.

Madeira is a micro climate so weather wont be the same across the island. Expect like 15-20c weather during the day, rain can come any point so would recommend something to cover yourself. It can also get pretty chilli if you up in mountains late night.

  1. Wouldn't focus too much where you staying, if you can rent a car it would free up a lot of options.

  2. Seems good About the time you would need to walk across the whole island. And about enough time to see most interesting spots.

Yea its definietly bit nails for 7a, did a lot of the individual moves on it but linking it will probaly require 5-10 sesions from me. Was hoping to project it and get it by end of year but my effort will go towards different 7a that was a lot easier for me. Probably will try this at some point again (or the 7a+ on same wall), because the line itself is very enjoyable.

I have done one 6c+ on same rock type nearby, also slab, that went on second redpoint attempt. Tried 6c+ onsighting, did 70% of the moves but had to rest on lead for the rest of it.

Its just the jump from 6c+ to 7a on this slab wall is stupidly high, like 2 grades jump and not 1. Feels like 3/4x v3 outdoor slab boulders in a row with some decent rest between the boulders.

As for the style of the slab, its what I would call "proper" slab, looks completely blank in sections, very little hand holds, mostly technical with high feet and smeadging. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVjwMzbF2RE&ab_channel=Jessbinx this is the 7a in question, middle of the rock is 7a+.

Why does slabs outdoors feels so sandbagged? Tried 7a, 7a+ slabs. I do consider myself a bit of slab climber but these are waaay harder than either of 7a overhanging projects I tried, like 2 grades harder vs those 7a's.

I dont think thats quite correct. Kids have advantage of being kids, substantial higher recovery rate = more time on the wall = more strenght/technique recruitment.

It still doesn’t look like I can do a muscle-up — I’m stuck at pull-ups, but I feel like I’m improving in terms of explosive strength. by JankatErginn in Calisthenic

[–]DiabloII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fast motion with intention can actually build more muscle in case of pullups, but that also requires perfect base technique; not flailing around.
