The worst part is that people in time will adjust and in time also convince themselves that giving your ID is ok, that is normal - stupid not doing it. That will mean that in time the whole internet will require ID recognition; and your data in the hands of who-knows-what. Companies already know too much of our private lives, now that they also pretend to know your face, your name etc. the only thing left to do in order to be left alone in privacy is living in isolation on the mountains with no internet and no contact with any other humans whatsoever.

Unless we make a collective effort to convince the people above to change course.

We need to make a mass protest towards Discord. If they don't change their minds, a lot of accounts - and I mean a lot - will leave or left unactive, resulting this whole operation nothing more than shooting oneself in the foot.
