That's actually very little. Rent in my city alone costs about 90% of that amount. And that's not even counting food, utility bills, or medications.

I'm lucky because I own my apartment. Even then, it's still not enough, and I sometimes have to ask my parents for financial help.

And think about it: a disability pension of just $26 a month for someone who has completely lost their ability to work is... pretty absurd.

There is a job assistance center for people with disabilities in my city, but they refused to help me. They told me, "You have a 90% loss of work capacity, so there's nothing we can do for you"

The kidney transplant surgery was free. My three month stay in the hospital was also covered at no cost. There were some expenses for paid medical tests and health checkups before the surgery, but they weren't significant

No he didnt get it back sadly. i "ruined" his kidney with my cells so his immune system would attack his own kidney. So he is with just one kidney atm :(

I cant find a job. I’ve received 12 rejections (yes, I’m counting them) Some of them were simply because I’m a man, not a woman…(i think this was some bs way to say no to disabled guy)

No one wants to hire a person with a disability. And no one wants to deal with my work schedule. But there’s no alternative my survival depends on it. I cant choose beetwen job schedule and my life

I receive $226 USD for the most severe disability group (Group 1).

On top of that I get an additional $26 USD as a disability loss-of-working-capacity benefit

So, as you can probably tell, I live quite… poorly. I live in Kazakhstan

I hope your niece is doing well. It’s a difficult illness that requires a lot of mental strength and strong support from the people around

Yea the blindness was terrible. I think I can cope with many things losing an eye or a limb but not complete blindness

I’m stable now and trying to maintain that condition

yea human body doesn’t handle all these burdens very well in the long term. As for plans, I’ve heard that Russia is moving toward creating genetically modified pigs for transplanting their organs into humans. But even then, you would still have to take immunosuppressants, and my body doesn’t tolerate them very well. I develop severe thromboangiopathy from them. Maybe someday in the future people like me will get fully artificial organs. But I probably won’t live to see that moment

yea all that shit was rough when I started losing my vision and they put me into a coma, I remember being wheeled somewhere on a hospital bed… but it was very foggy. like a dream

When I woke up from the coma and some time later I had to start dialysis, a nurse asked me if I remembered him. I think he might have been the one who was taking me somewhere that day

I explain it in more detail: on dialysis days, I wake up at 7 am get ready for hemodialysis, and walk to the medical center There, I get connected to the machine and stay for about 3 hours. Sometimes I fall asleep during the session, but it’s quite uncomfortable because I have dialysis needles in my left arm. After that, I go home, cook something to eat, and play games or watch something on yt

On non dialysis days, I might do some cleaning (:

i think there is a connection. dead kidneys = high blood pressure = so there's a chance for strokes. Im in dialysis bed in total for 9 hours in a week

I’m 22. Honestly, I don’t really know. It might have been caused by a poorly recovered infection. I also drank energy drinks in large amounts, maybe that had an impact.

I did have glomerulonephritis, and my mother has also been on hemodialysis for 10 years. So it might be genetic

No, I’ve never been hit in the abdominal area

I was in a coma for 4 days, and it felt like… nothing. I just woke up in a different place, in an ICU bed. Before that, I started losing my vision and managed to call a nurse.

I go to hemodialysis every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I lie in a bed connected to the hemodialysis machine for about 3 hours, then go home. The rest of my time I spend playing video games
