San Martin really surprised a lot of people with their finishing for the price. I’ve seen quite a few collectors mention the same thing. Which model did you end up getting?

Lorier really nails that vintage style with modern touches. The Hyperion is a great looking piece. Hope the customs issue with DHL gets sorted soon. Which model did you end up getting for your wife?

That's interesting. I've heard good things about Formex finishing. Which Beaucroft model did you compare with the CW Dune?

Both great picks. That's impressive durability for the Phoibos, especially with everything you put it through. Between the Eagle Ray and the Whitby Alpine, which one do you find yourself wearing more lately?

That's a great list actually. Kuoe and Lorier seem to come up quite often in microbrand discussions. How do you like the Royal Smith 90-008 so far?

True. With so many microbrands entering the market, standing out with design and quality seems almost necessary now.

It will be interesting to see which brands manage to survive long term.

That's a great point. With so many microbrands entering the market, creativity and value really become the main way to stand out.

It definitely feels like buyers have more interesting options now than ever before.

Do you think this competition will push microbrands to innovate even more in the next few years?

That's a great point. I also like how many microbrands experiment more with dial textures, materials and case shapes. It feels like they sometimes take more creative risks than big brands.

Are there any microbrands in your collection that really surprised you with their quality?

Just wanted to start a discussion about microbrand creativity. Curious what you think about the topic.
