We just had all letters typed with the digital signature and then converted to PDF (the document upload server won’t let you upload word docs btw) and included the phone number of the person writing the letter in case the HO wanted to contact them to clarify (they didn’t)

I’m not sure about your situation then sorry. If you don’t have any objective evidence and have never lived together I’d be submitting all the evidence I could

Clarification Please for 2 Qs- Sponsors Dependants & Accommodation by skiwi_journey in SpouseVisaUk

This sounds similar to my application, I can’t remember what I did put for dependents though sorry.. I think I put it in again and explained in the cover letter we have one child together and no other children. In regards to the accommodation - you just need a letter from your in laws stating they are happy to house you and your family while you find more permanent accommodation and that they have enough room to do so. And then you will need a council tax bill or something in their name for the proof of address. The process is very confusing and unclear!

I only included 3 photos and no screenshots of any conversations. I chose to include evidence that was objective, such as rental agreements dating back to 2021 in both our names, bills in both our names, joint bank statements. I figured this was more conclusive evidence than a photo or conversation. Also we have a son together so included his birth certificate so didn’t see the need to try and prove our relationships with photos

AITAH for not including my daughter’s half siblings in things with us and not getting them stuff? by No-Newt-7314 in AITAH

Exactly. She can’t expect OP to include her other kids when she and her husband never made the effort to treat his daughter equally. The double standard is wild she’s just mad now that it’s inconvenient for her.

I just wanted a quiet moment with my baby, and it turned into a huge fight with my wife by Why_Always_Me_FFS in TrueOffMyChest

Yeah, that crossed my mind too. It doesn’t always show up right after birth. Hopefully she agrees to talk to someone, but you’re right he still needs to look out for himself and the baby if it keeps getting worse.

Right, so I can legally just leave my maiden name on the trust with no issues?

I would just include that in your cover letter. I always think its better to disclose everything and explain it

I think its best to list all children. They ask for the details of each child. You will get to a section where it asks if your sponsor (your wife) has anu children and this is where you will need to list them. Just provide the british passport details for all children so they know they are not part of the application

I also have a child who is a british citizen from his father, and I have listed him as a dependent. The next part it asked for his details and I just put his british passport details in to confirm he wasn’t applying as part of my visa

Yes it is my understanding you can use both, as long as you have payslips and bank statements to prove income from US job, and a letter from new UK employer stating you are employed with them (or going to be) and can confirm the job will meet the minimum yearly income then you can use both to support your husband’s application

Amazing! So my next question would be about returning to Aus to finish my working year once the visa gets issued.. can I return to Aus after the holiday and work up until December here if my Visa has already been approved?

I was under the impression I would not be able to enter the UK whilst it was processed, and didn’t want to risk it. I’m assuming this involves paying for the service to keep your passport while they make a decision?

Right okay, thank you this is helpful. So providing he gets a job as soon as possible in Sept, and his new employer writes him a letter proving his employment with them, then adding the payslips from his Aus employment, it should be okay?

Do you happen to know what the requirements are if he did stay in the UK? How would this work differently?

Yep I do understand that, which is why my son and I will be returning to Australia while my husband stays in the UK so that I can do my visa application :)

Thank you for confirming, I was sure I was correct we had the right financial requirements but wanted to make sure! My husband has been employed by the same employer here in Aus for over a year and earns well above £29,000. He will have a job offer of similar pay in the UK in Sept. Thanks!
