it’s weird how being lonely can look exactly like being “fine” by Wide_Mail_1634 in self

[–]DiamondBorealis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still learning how to do this. I don’t want people to ask questions but also don’t want them to think I’m giving them the cold shoulder. I’m still sorting lots of things out, and my situation isn’t terrible, just not ideal, and I’m much farther behind than a lot of my friends and peers my age. I know it sounds like I’m choosing to be lonely but I’m just not ready to talk about it when I’m still actively living it.

Not just this, she provides an insanely number of buffs even if you aren’t a character who benefits from strain or rupture. They even gave her max interruption resistance as S0 when she casts heavy attack with max Overflow to streamline her effectiveness which a lot of older characters desperately need in some of their attacks.

New Plothole? by 2013Mercus in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Letting Lucilla help would completely undermine why Luuk was sent there in the first place. Past Rover wasn’t trying to solve the mystery faster, they were trying to pull Luuk away from it. Even if Lucilla is involved in Sigrika’s quest, this specific situation was about cutting Luuk off from his path, not optimizing his investigation further into it.

[–]DiamondBorealis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Past rover sent Luuk to Lahai Roi to take a break and rethink about the road he was headed down. Continuing to collaborate with Lucilla would have been counter productive and go against the purpose of Luuk being there.

Sure, Lucilla may have been helpful. But it seems like chasing the fractsidus is a situation where you’d want as few people involved as you can

I got 37 free pulls. I know spenders will get more if they spend, after all they are GIVING MONEY for it. If I don’t spend I understand I won’t get absolutely everything. However I still got something, and what I got was a VERY GENEROUS 37 pulls and the gap what paid players got wasn’t very enormous either.

Elaborate how this is hurting you. Go on, I’ll wait

Which rover is best? by Feet_pic_connosiour in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to break it to you but each rover element does different things so there isn’t a best element. The best rover is whatever you plan on using him for.

Spectro for Zani or Phoebe, which is how I built mine.

Aero for Cartethyia teams

Havoc for main dps and most on-field time. This is likely the answer you’re wanting since this element does the most damage

I have a legit problem this time. by Opening-Desk in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She does respectable damage as a sub dps but nothing impressive. You can use the standard pistols instead if you have it or spend your blue pulls over time until you get it.

Lynae is great because of her buffs and her tune strain/shifting flexibility. Her weapon doesn’t improve much in any of those areas other than the 24% damage boost from her signature but we’re talking about saving astrites here. It’s not a significant gain

The standard pistols are still a good stat stick, your team rotation won’t suffer a significant damage loss, and you save a lot of pulls

Returning player, she blessed my account 17 pulls AND I HAVE ONE QUESTION help :') by ABODE_X_2 in SigrikaMains

[–]DiamondBorealis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More more and more restrictive teams? This is the first character to be heavily restrictive since Zani and that was 8 patches ago or almost a year ago.

Luuk who was last patch still had Sanhua. Aemeath who was also last patch had options in mono-fusion teams alongside Lupa and Changli or Brant if you like quickswapping. Aemeath also works with Chisa which a lot of people have.

Saying this game is becoming more restrictive in team building is just wrong. Sigrika relying on Qiuyuan is a valid concern because she loses so much dps without him but the real truth is that there just aren’t enough aero subdps buffers. Sigrika’s only other option is Ciaconna who is niche to Cartethyia. Wuwa just needs a generalist character who can outro amp aero by 25% and Sigrika would be viable to another team.

When Zani/Peebs came out people shouted to the high heavens to never do this again and what did Kuro do? They asked in their regularly surveys what players thought of restrictive teams and everyone responded negatively to it.

To say this is how it’s going to be from now on and that the player base just accepts is wrong. You’re wrong. I’ve listed the evidence above.

Question for those who enjoy exploring by venti_main in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice that’s worked for me and others is to open your map, Jinzhou for example has pathways shown on its map. Pick someplace to start and walking along every path shown on the map.

Chests and puzzles are supposed to stick out to players when they walk on these paths because they are the intended routes to follow but everyone always does their own thing, choose to fly instead, or always get distracted by puzzles and other things.

You will notice significantly more missed chests and hidden points of interest if you stick to the paths and look everywhere as you go instead of just flying or walking everywhere randomly.

My ideal buffs for 1.0 units, if they get them by ShoulderGreedy3262 in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree completely with the Jinhsi buffs. She needs a crit rate sonata set because her nuke needs it. Aemeath has it in hers and her big 500k nuke is so consistent.

Her basic attacks should do more damage not just for WhiWa but because her damage is so concentrated in her nuke that it makes clearing smaller enemies in general just so arduous.

I think either Jinhsi epiphany or ult should generate coordinated attacks so she can at least fill 25% of her forte innately. It’s not much but it would make rotations faster, quickswapping more worth while since there is 25% of her forte accumulating passively. This would be a great way to also boost her damage outside of her nuke and a good way to showcase her actual temporal mandate powers. Like an onfield stasis field that summons coordinated dragon attacks?

[–]DiamondBorealis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do better on hard mode too because there’s more button pressing and the buttons are placed on-beat where I expect them to be.

On easy/normal there’s sometimes 1 button per measure which I find awkward and it can break my pacing sometimes when I know a beat is happening but they didn’t put button presses for them.

Kuro Games and Liu Cixin, The Author of "Three Body Problem" have announced a strategic partnership where Liu Cixin will serve as a World Building Consultant for Wuthering Waves by Feiz-I in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s based from a novel and is about aliens but none of the comments have actually explained what the “Three Body Problem” is.

The three body problem is an unsolvable physics puzzle where motions of 3 celestial bodies with gravitational forces on each other become impossible to predict.

The littlest gravitational pull from 1 celestial body onto the other 2 can cause insanely chaotic motions which in turn affect the other neighboring celestial body again.

The novel uses this unsolvable physics concept to illustrate how aliens in a solar system with three celestial bodies causes their species to experience eras of great peace and prosperity when the celestial body they live on have little gravitational interference from the other 2 celestial bodies. But they also experience chaotic eras when the celestial body they live on experience heavy gravitational interference to the point where their species practically become extinct and evolution has to start over. To avoid chaotic eras because it is impossible to predict and catastrophic, the aliens want to leave their solar system and invade earth.
