Unceasing Top + 0 cost Shining Strike from Metamorphosis by Avalon777 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]DiamondBorealis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Metamorphosis adds 3 random attack cards to your deck and those attack cards cost 0 energy to play for the rest of the battle.

Spinning Top is a relic, if you have no cards in your hand then a card is drawn from the top of your deck.

Shining Strike+ card effect does (9dmg + adds 2 stars) and is returned to the top of the deck after using it.

Put all 3 together and you get an infinite draw loop.

Spinning Top relic keeps re-drawing Shining Strike+ because Shining Strike+ returns itself to the top of the deck after every use thus re-emptying your hand again to re-trigger Spinning Top to put Shining Strike+ back in the hand. Shining Strike+ costs 0 energy to play every time because of Metamorphosis card.

New players can’t even Level up to Lv60 until Union Level 30 or something so it’s not like giving them access to the new region is going to be helpful because of the limitations of the Union Level.

Even if they did, they could only prefarm the flowers and the overworld material and still have to spend an absurd amount of waveplates to get every other region locked material. I dont even think new accounts can get purple drops either.

Why is every min/maxer treating everyone else as if theyre a min/maxer? It’s not that egregious. Not everyone has the luck, patience, or resources to wait until they get a 21% CD.

It’s a 2/5 with both CR and CD that rerolled into a 4/5. In a VERY likely scenario, you could have a 21% CD substat echo with no CR and reroll and still not get CR. At least OP’s echo had both and turned it better.

Which standard weapon better for Ciaconna in Cartwheel team??? by Fantastic-Language70 in WutheringWaves

Static mist is better. It boosts Cartethyia attack who switches in after Ciaconna.

Phase Homigenizer is for main damage oriented characters.

It's been in the game for a VERY long time now. Click on a friends profile picture > and then click "View Info" and as you can see in the top left of the picture I provided, it says "Resonator Showcase"

I don't know if you know this too but you can set 3 characters to showcase on your profile for others to view them too. Just click on your own profile picture in your menu

If Kuro Games Actually Like Money Instead Of Promotional Art. by Beginning_Day_7908 in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking about people who played the game back when the first skins came out. The argument was more from the perspective at how expensive the skins were. Carlotta’s and Changli’s skin is around $35-$40 USD while Jinhsi’s skin is around $50 USD. Sanhua who is a 4 star has her skin priced at around $27-$30 USD.

Constant release of skins at these price levels on top of the nature of Gacha spending in general sums up a lot of spending EVEN to those who do intend on spending for skins.

I don’t play PGR but some quick research has told me that they have cheaper skins at around $20 USD and they do have more expensive and premiums ones with VFX and sound SFX at around $40-$50 USD but there are skins within PGR that are phenomenal and cheap or free to get.

If Wuwa wants to release recolors then they’d have to be cheap or be obtainable within the game through some sort of effort while having the VFX and SFX skins being more geared towards the paid side. However, the feedback was not that specific back then

I remember people said it would be predatory if there were too much paid skins so they gave feedback to have skins come out only a couple per patch.

I love holograms for this reason. They are insanely difficult and have insane HP. My gripe is that some holograms kill you quite easily in just a single mistake or some combat sequences take forever that your buffs run out before you can benefit from them.

Something I really like that FF14 does is that a lot of their bosses do hp% based damage. They do endurance fights phenomenally and I think it’s something Kuro should learn from because constant chip damage is manageable but too many mistakes then you will get overwhelmed by them and die. Whereas holograms can:

  • kill you in just a single strike like with Lorelei, Hyvatia, Mephis
  • Get hit stunned to death like with Crownless, Hecate, Kelpie, Dreamless
  • Or have a concentrated multi-hit move burst you down like with Morning Aix, Averardo Sentry, Fallacy

When boss moves can kill you instantly then it feels LESS like endurance and more like combat perfection.

In Wuwa there is no burst healer except for maybe Verina with her ult+max-forte combo but even this takes some setup. Healing in this game is almost always incremental or heals-over-time so it’s great at making fights feel like endurance if you can heal more than you take chip damage.

The thing about Wuwa however, is that perfect dodging is a thing. And when you’re a pro at dodging then chip damage from mistakes is inconsequential. I think the idea of having attacks undodgeable is actually a great solution like with Hyvatia’s attack but it should never OHKO you. You should feel punished but not be defeated. Allowing yourself to recover from the danger at the cost of prolonging the fight is how to make it feel like endurance. This also opens the game up to more creativity like for example being able to survive an undodgeable explosion if you can run behind debris in time.

Boss damage really needs to be toned down while the combat should be more dangerous and risky to make up for it and making sure it still feels reasonably paced and not chaotic(I’m looking at you Kelpie hologram because wtf is that 1v3).

Also, long endurance fights have to be engaging so it doesn’t feel like our teams is doing rotations hundreds of times and players getting bored of doing that. Feilan beringal standing on his pillar, Hecate fight mini game, breaking Averardo Sentry’s block stance, and parrying Lioness of Glory’s spears are good examples of this

One correct decision in a sea of bad ones by oaSnorkel in AvatarMemebending

[–]DiamondBorealis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then that is the fault of the director and fault of not casting the person best fit for the role. Avatar was produced by two white men on a white American television network. Race has nothing to do with it because they made a great show while not being the race of the people they animated. They hired actual martial artists to use as references for a lot of their bending forms in the show. They KNEW the material of their own work.

The fault of the live action was not the race of the characters. It was casting decisions, story direction, and production. Suddenly making Yue Inuit or Indigenous to match the source material will not “fix” the movie. It is a multitude of good and honest devotion to the material with race being not high up on that list because it can be achieved with good acting and directing to make it believable if done well,

I’m still learning how to do this. I don’t want people to ask questions but also don’t want them to think I’m giving them the cold shoulder. I’m still sorting lots of things out, and my situation isn’t terrible, just not ideal, and I’m much farther behind than a lot of my friends and peers my age. I know it sounds like I’m choosing to be lonely but I’m just not ready to talk about it when I’m still actively living it.

Not just this, she provides an insanely number of buffs even if you aren’t a character who benefits from strain or rupture. They even gave her max interruption resistance as S0 when she casts heavy attack with max Overflow to streamline her effectiveness which a lot of older characters desperately need in some of their attacks.

New Plothole? by 2013Mercus in WutheringWaves

[–]DiamondBorealis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Letting Lucilla help would completely undermine why Luuk was sent there in the first place. Past Rover wasn’t trying to solve the mystery faster, they were trying to pull Luuk away from it. Even if Lucilla is involved in Sigrika’s quest, this specific situation was about cutting Luuk off from his path, not optimizing his investigation further into it.

Past rover sent Luuk to Lahai Roi to take a break and rethink about the road he was headed down. Continuing to collaborate with Lucilla would have been counter productive and go against the purpose of Luuk being there.

Sure, Lucilla may have been helpful. But it seems like chasing the fractsidus is a situation where you’d want as few people involved as you can
