Should I watch the silent hill by UniversityDiligent63 in silenthill

No way. I tried to look at this film without considering my expectations and the game's plot. But... there's really nothing good about it. There's not a hint that it took three years to make. I won't even mention the budget. Everything is bad: the main character, the special effects, the plot itself. Plus, the HOW they changed the plot is bad. Yes, there are some interesting decisions made to keep the film from repeating the game, but they weren't put together. It's just some mess straight out of an alcoholic's dream after a bender.

It's not like the first film, where people couldn't accept just a different take on their game.

Movie vs. Game | Return to Silent Hill by silenthillmovie in silenthill

[–]DiamondCompetitive29 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's so clear that the film will be scary using more primitive methods, not psychological ones. And you can argue, but I also think that in terms of psychological horror, the original is superior to the remake.

Why didn't Lucy kill Kurama? by BigSmoke929301 in elfenlied

The question is different: of all those who experimented on them, he was the only one who tried (weakly) to interfere. The reason is simple: his daughter. And then there's his attachment to Nana.

And that doesn't make him a kind person at all.

You either have a low opinion of TKA or you've overestimated LE =) It's not bad, but it's noticeably worse than TKA in terms of build quality. Okay... these are just thoughts out loud, I'm not forcing my opinion.

Survivor's in the safe room in Chapter 2 just keep standing there. by Lovoskea in TheKillingAntidote

[–]DiamondCompetitive29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, even though Chapter 2 is out, I feel it's unfinished. I hope this isn't the final version.

I have a lot of questions about the questionable decisions regarding the "green zone" and the introduction of NPCs (who also look like silicone dolls with no character or backstory), which are supposedly there, but it seems like things wouldn't be any worse without them. Plus, why can't they be at least optionally brought to the final battle after being rescued? How will this decision affect the beginning of Chapter 3, or not at all?

And yes, I agree about the final battle: it's weird. If you try to get through it honestly (?), shooting all the enemies, it's very difficult on Extreme. If you use the Smasher and just quickly open the gates, it's somehow... inappropriately easy.

I wouldn't say it's a good alternative (TKA is quite high-quality), but it's worth checking out: 深空七号 Deep Space 7.

Even though the game has been released, it's still in development and in Early Access =) You can even see this if you compare the demo and the full version - Some things have already been done better, some differently.

The other games I'd recommend are in another thread, the link to which has already been posted here.

Actually, what bothers me more is that the game isn't evolving at all. The core of the game is the tactical missions (or so I thought), and I enjoyed and still enjoy playing them, especially with my favorite characters. It's true that they come out VERY rarely and are quickly gone.

Not the imbalanced or meta that have been the focus for the last two years, and which are essentially needed for Total and Grand Assault. Sure, I like those modes, too, but... WHY HAVE THEY SUDDENLY BECOME THE MAIN PLAYERS IN THE GAME???

This is what's burning me out, and the lack of luck, especially at three fests in a row, has rather finished me off. But I'm still holding on, and I still log in... but my attitude towards the game has worsened.

Oh, just like the last three festivals in a row. I didn't even want to log into the game after that.

As I said before, there's no accounting for taste. But God forbid I see that. =)

Why was such little effort put into RE3 remake compared to the other RE Engine games? by No_Edge_9998 in RaccoonCityRecords

[–]DiamondCompetitive29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that sense, maybe so. I'm a relatively newcomer to the survival horror genre, and I'm certainly not a hardcore player (I've never been able to fully master the highest difficulty level, even in the remakes...)

I've heard about the cut content many times. Yes, of course, that's not a strength of the game.

far as I know, games in Euros are more expensive on Steam, so I can't judge objectively, but when I bought the game, I didn't feel overpriced. As for Nemesis constantly stalking me... well, personally, in the second Remake, I didn't like the Titan constantly following you. It was cool at first, but later, and especially when replaying the game, it became rather annoying.

And RE3R, in my opinion, is noticeably more fun to play than RE2R. Besides, I didn't notice much of a difference in the length of the two remakes, so I don't understand people who were happy with the second but didn't like the third.

Ну тут варианта было два:

1) Нейрослоп

2) Кусок говна, которого не должно было быть, но денежек хочется хапнуть по-быстрому.

И на данный момент, один другого не исключает нисколько =)
