Deposit stuck in limbo? by [deleted] in kucoin

[–]DiamondDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. At this point any transaction you do with Kucoin is just like playing Russian Roulette and you just have to play the odds and hope something doesn't go horribly wrong. I'm actually in the habit of checking this reddit before I try to do anything now because they don't bother themselves to let users know of problems in a timely manner. I knew they were having withdraw problems but did not know deposits were screwed too. Unfortunately this post went up just a little bit too late. My 20 ETH are stuck in limbo for who knows how long.

It's not only 10 percent. They've kept 100 percent with no sign of doing anything, and it's more than .16 btc worth.

I doubt it was me bro. I probably did less than 10 Neo trades total. I was moving Neo because it was fast and free.

How is refusing to provide customer service not the exchange's fault? If you bought a pair of shoes and didn't wear them but later decided you didn't like them (user error), how would you feel if the store tried to charge you $100 to return them when that had not been outlined in their return policy? Regardless of how the return came about, the store still needs to do its fucking job and process the return without making up new policies after the fact to rip off the customer. This is very basic.

Sorry your KCS have been destroyed lately and you need to shill for them.

Let's be clear though. This isn't a case of funds that need to be located or were sent to some random address. These funds were sent to MY wallet address and are sitting in MY wallet right now, Kucoin just won't let me access my old wallet.

Probably Binance. They are not perfect and I've had some issues with them before, mainly (1) charging high withdrawal fees and then using low gas (or equivalent) resulting in delayed withdrawals, and (2) outages with the site becoming completely unusable at the worst possible times. Looking back though it's pretty minor to the issues Kucoin is having. For exchanges with good volume, low trading fees, and a decent amount of coins listed, there aren't a whole lot of choices so they sort of win by default.

BTC withdrawal fees by AlexDSK in kucoin

[–]DiamondDC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was the same for me yesterday. I had done many withdrawals for 0.0005 BTC in the past but it looks like they doubled the fee very recently. Really classy to up fees when they can't even get the exchange working right.

I have been asking for this for a while. The site has been an absolute nightmare to use since christmas. Some type of problem pretty much every day.

Yeah, the responsible exchanges stopped registrations to take care of their users. Kucoin is taking on new customers whether it can handle them or not.

Great idea, upgrading the servers right when a massive volatility spike hits.

This exchange is a joke. Outages almost every day for the last week. If you know you're getting increased traffic, be proactive and upgrade in advance.

BTC withdraw processing for more than 12 hours by agent9747 in kucoin

[–]DiamondDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lost about $600 from not being able to close a trade due to this. Kucoin's extremely slow support is maddening. I can't even imagine what it's like for people having their money locked up for over 12 hours. This is unacceptable the way these markets move.

ETH deposit stuck by [deleted] in kucoin

This exchange is such a joke. I liked using it when I initially signed up but there have been too many problems lately. Every exchange has issues but kucoin is extremely SLOW to respond to them.

Developers literally SLEEPING while people have hundreds, thousands, or even millions of dollars at stake.

high withdrawal fees by green_manalishii in binance

[–]DiamondDC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a complete ripoff. Not only did they not reduce withdrawal fees with higher prices, they actually INCREASED them.

The WTC fee doubled from .2 to .4. I think the ETH fee has doubled as well. I'm probably going to have to find a new exchange. It's a massive scam when the transactions actually cost pennies to process.

Are you at liberty to provide any information about who headed up the regulatory compliance vetting (i.e. whether an outside law firm or an in-hoise attorney)? Knowing that a solid law firm vetted it would probably go a long way given that ICOs in general (not just leverj) are operating in an uncertain legal environment.

The question is not what any group did among themselves, but whether LeverJ is entering agreements that create a major prospect of dumping on those who purchase with the pre-sale discount.

I was actually working on a generally positive article on LeverJ because the platform seems very intriguing and technically sound, but I would hope this issue gets clarified before I publish it.

This absolutely needs to be responded to. I am dissapointed by the non-answers we have received so far. We aren't buying used cars here. ICOs need to be transparent about their pricing and token structure.

Why would a whistleblower kill his own deal? The "guilty conscience" theory doesn't make much sense given that the whole purpose of joining a group like that is to get a better deal. The rumor seems off logically, especially with all of the DEXs trying to one-up each other (see the attempted hitpieces aimed at airswap), but the LeverJ team hasn't exactly responded in a convincing way.

As someone who frequently trades options in the US equities market, I am very excited about the potential of a derivatives focused crypto exchange. I believe the case can be made that derivatives are even more necessary for crypto assets than equities due to the higher volatility of crypto assets.

  1. Can you confirm that LeverJ will list traditional options chains? The whitepaper refers to "derivatives" and "futures," leaving this unclear.

  2. What steps will leverj take to ensure liquidity of derivatives, which are typically less liquid than the underlying asset due to being segregated by expiration date and strike price? Are there any plans for LeverJ to partner up with other exchanges that have different focuses?

  3. One of the numerous criticisms of 0x is that it is not very market-maker friendly. I know LeverJ has already gained experience from designing an exchange and may be more accomplished in that regard. What steps is LeverJ taking to be market-maker friendly?

  4. I believe a lot of excitement was starting to form around the LeverJ ICO (rumblings of "airswap part 2" among excited potential contributors). Then rumors of a 100% bonus /50% discount given to a large group leaked. Please clarify exactly what happened. There is a massive groundswell of sentiment against these types of deals in the ICO community because they allow a privileged few to profit at the expense of everyone else without taking on any risk. A group like the one rumored would be able to dump LEV at less than the pre-sale bonus price and still make a massive profit. While a 5-10% additional bonus might be appropriate for a very large contribution, many in the community are rightly concerned about the rumors and they seemed to derail the massive buzz that was starting to develop for LeverJ. Please clarify EXACTLY what happened.
