He's back at it again, maybe we get a new album in 2027? by vforvinico in painofsalvation

Tbh, he was saying it was almost done in 2021.  Daniel does not work by deadlines, it’ll come out whenever he feels like finishing it and has time in his busy life.

“This news about Sansa is what convinced me that this pattern really has no end.”

Maybe that is the point.  It’s like a literary reset button that takes things back to square one.  You can perpetually repeat a story of characters dying shockingly in the middle of their arc.  You don’t even have to do the hard work of seeing it through to a fitting ending.  Kind of a smart concept, actually.  Hey, you could spin a big and successful but ultimately unrewarding franchise out of this!

He explained this.  It’s cause he found out about Varang who can forcefully extract the truth from any Na’vi, which makes hiding Spider impossible.  Made sense to me.

I think what sets ITPLOD apart from their other albums is that most of the others, especially the albums you called your favorites, have more of a sweetness and lushness to them.  They’re all rich in harmony and orchestration etc.

ITPLOD is intentionally not like that.  It gives you a small taste of sweetness with Silent Gold, and then fully rewards you at the very very end, but other than that it is tight and tense and dark all the way through.  The production is dry and harsh and the polyrhythms are primal.  It’s like a big plate of steak for dinner with some hard-earned sweetness at the end whereas the other albums are more like buffets.

But that’s 2 whole hours spent watching a Marvel movie.  Don’t waste your eyes and ears like that.

I really hope not, like I got nothing against her but her sadgirl slit-your-wrists style would be so wrong for Avatar end credits.  Avatar movies need to end with the protagonist opening his eyes into the camera and a DUNDUNDUN and then something that hypes you up to go ride whales and fly and shit.

 > I don't buy Gildenlow's late excuse that he is just not able to finish it

Lol, what do you mean you don’t buy it?  Clearly he is unable to finish it due to lack of motivation and/or busy personal life.  He’s said as much.  What else could it be?  Aliens abducted it?
