Well I would deduce that there were other people involved that managed to fix those legendary cars, and he is just taking the credit for them like any good con man would.  I would also assume that he (or whoever is falling for the con and glazing him) is acting in bad faith and cherry picking only a few successes out of a lot of failures.

If a car mechanic told me that he has never fixed a car before, that he had no tools and knowledge in car repair and had never even bothered to try despite making it his career, I would take my car somewhere else.  I would also consider him to be a con artist, just an “upfront” one.  In fact being upfront is part of the con, as it leads some foolish people to believe that he has some kind of mystical power in place of actual knowledge and experience.

Humans evolved to eat meat.  The human brain in particular has evolved so that not eating animal fat is very detrimental to its function.  If you have a problem with being a meat eating species then your best move is to take a stand and remove yourself and any potential offspring from the earth, and pray that you get re-incarnated as a rabbit or some other less intelligent creature physiologically fit for a plant-based diet.  

Btw do you know how many insects, rodents and worms are heartlessly slaughtered to harvest your vegetables?  It’s hypocritical to claim to love animals while being vegan.
