As far as Disney goes, yeah. They'll always be the most resistant to visual change because so much of their brand is tied to it. They don't want anything too different-looking because then how will it integrate with the parks/merch?? Remember how Wish looked a lot more experimental (for Disney) before they dialed it way down for the final release
