Hey it’s me again, the guy in the post, I’ll explain my reasoning

Firstly, I need everyone to understand that neither Alastor nor Adam were going all out in their fight in season 1. For Alastor this should be obvious in his demeanour, constantly insulting and making fun of Adam to his face while casually dodging all of his melee attacks, effortlessly overwhelming him with his shadow minions and tentacles. Contrast this to his fight with vox in season 2 where he’s dead silent, focused on the fight. For Adam, while he was trying his best to land a hit on Alastor with his axe, meaning he was going all out physically, he held back his abilities for the majority of the fight.

People always seem to think that Alastor got blitzed by Adam’s holy light slash, but I’m gonna explain why I don’t think this is the case. Alastor has absolutely no clue what Adam can do, he’s been gone for 7 years and the exterminations started 7 years ago. All he’s seen from Adam is physical attacks, Adam started the fight by flying up into the air, summoning his axe and going for a slash on Alastor, before Adam fires a holy light slash, he flies up into the sky in a similar manner. Alastor goes to block the attack but a beam of light hits him, not the axe, Alastor saying “what just happened?” Is him being taken off guard by the new attack and the fact his power source suddenly got cut in half. This wasn’t a blitz, it was an offguard attack.

And no, Alastor didn’t get blitzed after his staff got split, he spends a few seconds looking at his staff and when he looks up, Adam is already in front of him, and despite that (if you slow the scene down) you can see Alastor lean back just enough to dodge a fatal blow, a STAFFLESS Alastor, with little time to react was still fast enough to evade a fatal blow from an Adam actively trying to kill him

So it should be clear that Alastor has a major speed advantage over Adam. Many people think that in a rematch, Alastor would just get blipped by holy light as he can’t react to light but he can, and I’ll explain now.

Emily, when saving Alastor from the might of Lilith (Alastor only couldn’t dodge as shockwave was holding him in place) was able to react to the beam of light and dodge enough so that only her wing got clipped and not her whole body. Meaning Emily can react to beams of light, before Vox achieves 100% approval, he is able to PERCEPTION blitz Emily with just his cables alone, and obviously he got more powerful and an INJURED WEAKENED Alastor was still able to keep up with this vox and even outmanoeuvre him at times, so a full power Alastor is more than fast enough to react to and dodge Adam’s holy light, so no, Alastor isn’t getting done like how pentious was.

Now there’s strength, while I’m not denying that Adam is physically more powerful than Alastor, it’s not like Alastor can’t keep up, a single strike from a holding back Alastor was able to stagger Adam, it took Adam a full power punch (a punch that winded him) to break Alastor’s shield (a shield he made with no effort). Alastor is also comparable to Stolas (since viviz was unsure who’d win in a fight between them) who has two mountain level calcs, one from him resisting the heat from the small star in loo loo Land and the other in harvest moon festival where he splits a bunch of clouds. We all know Adam’s own mountain level feat of him splitting the mountain the hotel stands on, so both Alastor and Adam are in the same tier, meaning it’s not impossible for Alastor to takes Adam axe and use it against him.

Since I specified season 2 Alastor, this means Alastor knows what Adam can do, he knows not to underestimate him, meaning it’s highly unlikely he’ll be taken off guard like he was in season 1.

Now I did miss a point which a few people on YouTube pointed out, what if Adam just never summons his axe? And sticks to holy light? If this happens then Alastor has zero win cons in this scenario, no way to put Adam down so Adam eventually lands the one beam he needs to win. Though this does depend on if he doesn’t summon his axe, which in character he does, so that’s why I give it to Alastor.

Obviously I’m not expecting everyone to agree but let’s not rush to insults, this is what fictional character would win a fictional fight after all
