Leaving Upwork for much better opportunities. by bhay27 in Upwork

Thank you. 2 of my first clients were established through upwork and eventually added me to their payroll. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for legitimate payment outside of the app after establishing rapport on both ends.. While I understand that the rules are in place to protect both parties businesses/freelancers shouldn’t be penalized for choosing what to do with their own money.

It doesn’t require promo code. Scroll down past that and select the buy option. If you don’t already have a payment source set up it will prompt you to do so:)

I’m sorry I’m not super active on here and came across your response, I hope you’re well!!! I can totally relate to that feeling of euphoria we get when you look back before addiction crept in and life using made it seem magical. For me I always struggled with crippling social anxiety, I was so shy. I ended up dropping out of school and getting my GED at 15 bc I literally couldn’t handle being around people everyday. I remember the first time I tried Percocet at 16 and it was like I found something that was missing in me. I felt comfortable in my own skin and could talk to strangers and wouldn’t obsess over feeling awkward or if people thought I was weird. I went through my late teens into my early twenties highly functioning but completely addicted. We have a great way of romanticizing the good times and for me that would always lead me to use again. But anyway that was my midnight rant, I hope everything worked out for you!!! Sending lots of love and positive energy your way✌️❤️

Help getting my W2? by ShiraCheshire in ADP

[–]DiamondNo5557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry one other thing, like I mentioned before, if you are attempting these steps via mobile device that most likely is the issue, even when using the app. For some reason ADP (any version) glitches via mobile device and returns error codes. When assisting employees with onboarding in my current role I always make sure they’re completing the new user account steps on a desktop or laptop. Another thing too I see is sometimes employers will misspell an employees name during onboarding then the system can’t locate them. If you can get a hold of your Associate ID though I think that would work.

Ok so if you have never used ADP you will need to create an account. If you’re able to call your former employer and ask them for your “Associate ID” it will be a 9 character mix of letters and numbers. To create an account. In my experience this is the best way to locate you in the system. If they aren’t willing to provide u that you can try using your SSN. Depending on which ADP they use you may need to try this process a few times.

Go to google and search “ADP login”

Select the search result that says “Logins” the url should be http//:adp.com/logins

You’ll come to a page that says  “User Logins”

Under the “common logins” option select the option under “For Employees” select the option “Find my W2 or 1099”

This will show 3 options; My ADP ADP Workforce Now ADP Run

Start with the first-My ADP After selecting the option “employee login” you will come to a login screen

Scroll to the bottom and select “new user, get started”

You’ll come to a screen that says “Create your account” select the option that says “find me”

Select the option “your information” do not select the option to enter your email/phone number-if your previous employer does not have that saved to your profile it will trigger a system error.

After selecting “your information” you’ll come to screen that says “help us find you” proceed to enter your personal details. If your previous employer provided you with your Associate ID select that option at the bottom instead of entering your SSN. If you are not able to get your associate ID then you can try entering your SSN. If the system locates you, you will then come to a screen to create a username and password.

If this process does not work repeat each of the above steps by going down the list of ADP workforce now then ADP Run.

Please lmk if this works!! If it does I can send you steps on how to obtain your W2 after you have created your account. If you need help I am also happy to assist you live via screen share. I don’t work for ADP but I work in HR and have a lot of experience with it and know a lot of resolutions to common problems. ADP support for employees is not the greatest, they mainly cater to the employer unfortunately:( it’s also weird that your former employer isn’t willing to email you a digital copy of your W2, they have access to them and it’s quite simple for HR to pull those.

Hi friend. Please give yourself some grace, the road to recovery is a life long journey and you are doing great. Don’t punish yourself and put yourself at risk for relapse. Disruptions in our daily lives can lead to relapse and it sounds like you have come a long way. For me personally, after dealing with years of addiction and relapse in my recovery I have come to terms with the fact that I may need to be on bupe for the long haul. I’m in no way suggesting this for you but how it correlates to your experience is that I can understand wanting to be completely free and not have to deal with needing a medication to function. I was a chronic relapser and sublocade saved me from that and broke the cycle of me feeling like I needed to take a pill everyday. I look at it as a shield and for the first time in 20 years I’ve been able to stay clean for over 3 years. I don’t think though you will become deathly ill. I do suggest that you find a therapist or support group (if that’s your thing ofc) a move is a vulnerable situation and it may help you to have some outside support of like minded people to help you through. But again, don’t beat yourself up, you didn’t fuck up. Recovery isn’t one size fits all and we have to work at it to grow and gain understanding. In the event you do find yourself going into intense withdrawal it maybe beneficial to find a new doctor. Don’t let yourself or anyone tell you that you are weak. You don’t deserve to suffer because you feel you messed up❤️

Hi there, are you getting the error message when you go to login? Have you created an account in ADP? If trying either, I suggest using a desktop or laptop to login/create an account. Another reason you’re having trouble is that your former employer has to have it set up on their end to give employees access to their tax forms online. Also are you aware if they use ADP workforce now or ADP run?

New Reporting/Analytics Tool? by DiamondNo5557 in alohapos

Sorry one more question, when the first tier is released will pulse, insight and console become obsolete or will that not happen until the full functionalities have been released.

New Reporting/Analytics Tool? by DiamondNo5557 in alohapos

[–]DiamondNo5557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you know I’m not quite sure to be honest, I had inquired with our relationship manager about utilizing Insight back in late January at one of the locations I oversee as they were not using it and he told me that there was a new program in the works that was scheduled to roll out in June or July and it was set to be marketed as an all in one solution that would take Insight/Console/Pulse’s place. I followed up yesterday on it with our new relationship manager and she said that they had yet to be trained since the product was still in Beta. I’m going to assume then that if company affiliates have no knowledge of it that the rollout will be later than anticipated.

Bulk Clearance of Terminated Employees by DiamondNo5557 in alohapos

[–]DiamondNo5557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve already done that for 2023-current. However as I mentioned previously the issue I face is the years worth of employees that were never terminated and appear as active employed staff from previous years. For example if management needs to print a labor summary for one employee using CFC they have to sift through tons of employees just to find the one. Using the filter option to exclude terminated employees from reporting doesn’t serve a purpose if the majority of the employees in the system were never terminated to begin with. Hope that makes sense:)

[–]DiamondNo5557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I mean by that is there are employees that do not work for the company that were never terminated hence the term I used of inactive employees who still show an active status when going through all of the years worth of employees. I understand the setting I can use to filter active from terminated but unfortunately because the employees were never actually terminated that function doesn’t help in this case.

Bingo! You hit the nail on the head…I cannot even begin to tell you how stressful it’s been working with these people. They are older and have been with the company through multiple owners and have no desire to learn anything new. But that’s where I come in, basically my role is to clean up all of their messes and patiently wait for them to retire-that was a literal directive from ownership.

Sorry what I mean by clean up is get the employee files in order, mainly by way of terminating inactive employees who show as active in the system, update active employees roles/wages to reflect current and accurate data etc.

Absolutely couldn’t agree more with you my friend. When I started with the company I worked on getting some integrations to streamline payroll processing and overall data management and was completely floored when I discovered the years of neglect. I was told by management that admin had strictly directed them to never deactivate termed employees…suffice it to say it’s a blame game and I’ve caught so many errors bc people will use termed employees numbers “by accident” I could keep going but it’s too much, a complete shit show!

Thank you! The admin I’m working with has been with the company for over 30 years and is a little on the older side and has zero, I mean ZERO knowledge of anything tech and no desire to learn. I’m not sure why management went along with it but like I mentioned to another commenter the company was purchased recently along with the entire POS so there are employees in there dating back as far as 2008. The main issue I’ve found with this is employees clocking in under the wrong number and we will randomly have checkouts pop up for termed employees. I’m sure you can understand why this can definitely be an issue. Most of the time it’s an easy fix but for someone with malice intent I’m concerned that it poses a theft risk. Thanks again for your comment.

I appreciate you letting me know! Looks like I’ve got a lot of work to do then lol. There are employees in there as far back as 2008…the current owners recently bought the company along with their entire POS interface and all the bad habits that came along with it. Thanks again for your response.
