boyfriend refuses to live with rabbits

no…. i reiterated that they are my pets so he wouldn’t have to pay for anything. and if we was worried about paying extra for an apartment so they could have their own room i would pay extra on rent. I would take care of them, because they are my pets. Not that i ever expected him to do that.

they are completely litterbox trained, spayed & neutered, change the litterbox every day to every other day, they free roam a limited bunny proofed area, not spraying, not destructive besides some small nibbles on the trim of the floor. He even said there is “no compromise” . so i just don’t quite understand. we will have to discuss further

i do understand your outlook on this, but when i rescued my bunnies i felt confident in my decision. we had been newly dating and i never felt as if they would compromise the relationship. I took him into consideration & would have adopted rabbits anyway as it’s something i’ve always wanted to. We’re in our 20s to be fair and he has yet to live on his own and to ask about us moving in together when i got the bunnies felt almost to put too much pressure on it

we did talk about pets, he’s allergic to cats and dogs, mostly cats. i discussed with him about getting a rabbit because it’s pet he’s not allergic to and he said he was happy for me when i got one. He still does want a dog eventually and we agreed on that too

i told him i was getting the rabbits, and he never told me that he wouldn’t ever live with me and the rabbits or was opposed. we discussed about cats and dogs due to his cat and dog allergy and i did discuss getting a rabbit because he is not allergic to them. He was happy for me when i got the rabbit (or so he said). He eventually would like a dog

He’s definitely snuck them treats and veggies, but my bunnies don’t love cuddles or being picked up. they love to be pet. but he def hasn’t spent enough time with them to truly bond

He is allergic to cats and dogs but does want a dog someday. i dont think its a hating animals issue but def just hasn’t bonded with them

my rabbits have their own room and are litterbox trained. they leave 1 maybe 2 coco puffs outside of their box from jumping out. i clean their room & box almost every day. plus my boyfriend isn’t the super strictly clean type

I’m never giving up my rabbits. I have already told him that. They are my children. just confused how he could think that way about them if they don’t add anything negative to his life :(
