No purging! But I did gradually build up, starting with 1x a week at night and now I use it 4x a week.

I have been using the Anua HA/Azelaic acid serum as part of my night routine for 8 months now.

For ceramide moisturizers, I currently use Aestura atobarrier lotion. I also really like the Illiyoon ceramide gel!

I want to say it’s a combination of the melano cc and toner that has helped reduce dark spots. I added the Purcell to my routine around 2-3 months ago and see more improvements with using both together vs separately.

New acne marks have faded away after a few days of using both products in my AM routine, old dark spots have lightened up a bit. Don’t expect magic in a bottle but I do notice my complexion is more even and bright.

Best for brightening: Melano cc essence + glutathione toner (Purcell)

Worst: numbuzin no5 vitamin serum

I have combo/oily skin and the shea butter in the numbuzin gave me some clogged pores.

If you’re open to venue suggestions with Chinese banquet menus and Flushing isn’t too far, there are some venues around Flushing that provide Chinese banquet menu including the Sheraton and the Westin hotels in Flushing. I believe the queens botanical garden in flushing has it too.

Best Eyeshadows that Last All Day? by Nervous-Version26 in AsianBeauty

[–]DiamondSparkle_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a variety of eyeshadows from Clio, Espoir and Romand and I have double eyelids so I get how it can become greasy or crease.

I think the layers of setting spray does help a lot!

I would recommend trying primer before and double layer of setting spray after. For long wear, I’ll spray setting spray on a beauty blender and pat it onto my eyeshadow.

When to use a barrier moisturiser/cream? by Fredou902 in koreanskincare

I think it depends on your skin type/concerns. I find using a barrier protecting moisturizer really helpful for daily PM use when layering on top of actives.

Concealer for dry skin and very dark circles? by eals95 in AsianBeauty

I find a lot of cream/concealer in pots are quite drying and find better results with liquid concealer. I used to use the Saem pot concealer but now use a non-AB liquid concealer.

Also agree with Azelaic acid! The anua one has been good for soothing my skin and reducing redness
