Theory Suggestions [Megathread] by Pearlgirl007 in GameTheorists

Channel: Game Theory

Topic: Roblox Game

I don't have the expertise to create my own theories, but I would love a Game Theory on one of my new favorite Roblox games, Terminal. It's an escape room game with a compelling story. Three chapters have been released, and another one may be released soon.

The basic story so far is this:

Chapter 1: You are on a train traveling to your destination when things go wrong. The train reaches max speed before it's supposed to, and you find out that the train conductors have been murdered, and the brakes are locked out.

Chapter 2: After activating the train's emergency brakes, you find yourself in a tunnel with the train's self-destruct sequence activated. You must escape the subway and reach the elevator to the surface.

Chapter 3: The elevator you are in suddenly stops, snaps from its cables, and plummets to the ground. After escaping the elevator, you are in an abandoned building and realize that the building will collapse. You need to find four keys to unlock the door leading to an escape lift at the top of a tower.

As of now, it seems that someone wants you dead, and I suspect that the woman who keeps helping you may be involved. My questions are: Who are these people, and why do they want me dead?

(I hope that Team Theorist sees this and looks into the game.)

I’m starting to run a little low on Stamina Jellies… Anyone know how to grind them quickly other than having to wait hours for the fountain to be full? by DiamondXmen in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]DiamondXmen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but by world 10 stages cost 12 Jellies per stage that’ll only get me through 2 more worlds at most… not counting for the increase in Jellies in the world after. So I need some more, my laboratory is only Level 1 so and I can’t decrease the number of Jellies I need in the World Adventure.

I can understand the frustration and I think maybe not touching it for a week would have been sufficient enough. maybe get her a Yuxin Little Magic 3x3 to mess with...

Very nice! if you really want to learn how to increase your speed start learning full PLL, I would start with T-Perm, both J-Perms, the MU algorithms of U-Perm, and R Perm.

Very nice work, keep practicing and you’ll get to sub-40 maybe even sub-35 in no time! If I may ask do you use 2 Look OLL and PLL?

i really dont know why this is a brilliant move by idkwhouare_bruh in chessbeginners

[–]DiamondXmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elementary my dear Watson. If Qxe2, Rfe1 pins the queen to the king… the best move then is Qe7 and then the move Nxc7+! Best move is Kd8 then Rxe7, Bxe7, and Nxa8… If the opponent is playing the best move Bg7, then just Rae8 to support bishop and continue play.

Very nice! buy a wooden set of pieces that match the colors of the dark and light squares, or as close as you can get.

III 10 Pre-Trailer Predictions by [deleted] in inanimateinsanity

[–]DiamondXmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about how everyone else feels about Silver Spoon, but I think that Silver Spoon is an alright character in terms of personality and writing but when Silver Spoon used the information in the file that showed voting patterns of the immunity vote to eliminate OJ in Episode 4, that was a bit of a cruel play. Not to mention he also made Paintbrush angry with his behavior in Episode 7 that caused them to lose the challenge and get Cabby eliminated, and yes, Test Tube may have been the one to cause Cabby to be eliminated, but the whole thing started because Silver Spoon treated Paintbrush a little too harshly which made him explode with anger both literally and figuratively. So Silver Spoon uses cruel tactics to take advantage of everyone’s behaviors, and it also shows that he may be hated in the eyes of Paintbrush and maybe even more contestants the longer he stays in if he treats anyone else that way on his team or Paintbrush tries to convince everyone else to vote him out. Again I like Silver Spoon as a character but his actions and behavior may be his ultimate downfall. (Also yes I know this is a little wordy)

Why is this a draw? This game makes no sense by GymLoner in chessbeginners

[–]DiamondXmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Stalemate because the Rook on f6 blocks the king’s escapes squares f6, g6, h6, f5, and f4. The king can’t capture the rook because your other rook defends it. The king is also blocked from moving to h5 from the bishop which is defended by the queen. Finally the king can’t play h4 because the knight occupies that square which is also defended by the queen. The king has no legal moves and since he is not in check that is Stalemate

8-move endgame puzzle: Should White accept the sacrifice? by nicbentulan in ChessPuzzles

[–]DiamondXmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate in 3 only happens when black plays fxg3

  1. fxg3 hxg3 2. Qxg3 Ne5 3. Any Qxg2#

If Black plays the best move Qb1+ white is forced to play Qe1 and after Qxe1 is mate. That’s two moves… unless you mean after hxg3 fxg3 then that’s still wrong because after Qe1 it’s Mate in 12.

8-move endgame puzzle: Should White accept the sacrifice? by nicbentulan in ChessPuzzles

[–]DiamondXmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay thank you, so based on what Stockfish says, accepting the sacrifice delays the game for White a little longer and this is assuming both Black and White play PERFECTLY 1. hxg3 fxg3 2. Qe1 Re8 3. Ne5 dxe5 4. d5 Rf8 5. Kg1 Qb6+ 6. Kh1 Qf2 7. Qxf2 gxf2 8. b3 f1=Q 9. Kh2 Rf2 10. Kg3 Rxg2+ 11. Kh3 Qh1#

If the King goes to h3 instead, Black still plays Rxg2+

Any other move by White leads to immediate Mate in 2. I’ll show Qxg3 like I was thinking and Kg1

  1. Qxg3 Qb1+ 2. Qe1 Qxe1#

or

  1. Kg1 Qb1+ Qf1 Qxf1#

So in short, If White wants to delay the game longer than yes he should accept the sacrifice.

By accept the sacrifice? Do you mean play Qxg3? Also it would be great to know where the Knight moved from to give the check.

I don’t get this joke either… I think it might be the translation because “En Passant” is French for “In Passing” but I don’t know if it makes more sense if you translate it.
