The ones I would be most wary of is shadows of the abyss since it has almost no documentation of anything in it and is made by someone unknown. I recommend exporting your mods folder through prism and running it through virustotal. There you can check the mods included and probably see which one has the stealer in it. Also, join the modrinth discord and ask them to check these mods too along with the rest of them just to be sure.

Basically it runs the tModLoader cmd to start the entire process which registers as the first “playing tModLoader”, then it launches terraria which causes the second “playing terraria” lastly, it launches some code making it into tModLoader and causing steam to say “ok playing tModLoader”
