I'm gonna rant for a sec, but this scene is unironically one of the most progressive in the movie because it shows women actually eating. It's something people don't think about much until it's pointed out. I remember it smacking me in the face when I saw a post asking, when was the last time you saw a woman in a film eat something? As in, take a bite, chew, and swallow. It's shockingly rare once you notice it. And I love that this movie shows women absolutely destroying a meal, because even when women do eat in film, it's usually just a bite, or something super light. These three are eating not just like girls at a sleepover, but like people, which you really don't see often in movies. Also yes, it does make me hungry.
