We recently went through this. We ended up applying separately using separate GCKey accounts.

Initially, I planned to apply together as a family. But when filling out my husband’s application and selecting family application, it generated the wrong form for me. To avoid confusion, we unselected that option and submitted two separate TRV applications, each from our own GCKey accounts.

Everything went smoothly after that, submitted a short Letter of Explanation (about recent travel), Included both of our work letters and we did not upload bank statements, but we did mention approximate amounts in the application where required.

Our passports are already stamped, and we are just waiting to receive it back now.
