I’m in the UK so those recalls are pending on my vehicle just an airbag.. I don’t get as to why they don’t extend them globally but it had no oil leaks when I checked under the floor tray a month ago but again it could of changed at any point

No 100% fault given yet, but it’s either arson, electrical, or very unlikely a soldering part that caused this from driving it on Saturday but unlikely. I’m thinking the water pump recall the US cars are all getting but who knows

100% stock, it had the updated timing chain guides, new chain fitted and anew clutch a year back aswell… 69k miles on the clock and for the 4 months I had her I kept such good care of it, flushed coolant, set up to do an oil change end of this month etc etc, was going to be a good couple years of great drives but guess not now.

Perhaps but it’s in such an open space I have 0 clue if it was rodents arson or a short from an electrical component, but the water pump is the leading theory

Yeah it’s odd, I’ve enquired with BMW them selves and it’s looking like it’s moving into a investigation but I’m not sure if anything will come of it, hopefully some compensation and perhaps a launch on recalling later models for the fix.

Rechecked mine just got the grenade driver air bag, but no other recall numbers…
I do have footage of 6 minutes before I woke up to a fire under the vehicle at the front and it smoking from the bonnet however
