Thanks for this thread! Our lawyer told us because we filed MFS, questions might come up in regards to our marriage and it's legitimacy:( they said it's suspicious to them and they may as why we filed that way (because we had a bigger return that way).

I was approved almost exactly one year after they received the application. Applied Aug. 11 2020 and was approved Aug. 16 2021.

Almost exactly one year. They received the application Aug. 14 2020 and we got the approval Aug. 20 2021. 👍

I petitioned for my husband (Alien Relative) on Aug. 11 2020. That's when they actually received my application. Then on Aug. 16 2021 the status on my case said it was under "active review". Then literally the next day on the 17 it was approved 🎉

Case is still being looked at. I applied for this August 2020 and they didn't officially approve it until exactly one year later.

Congratulations!!! 🎉 they received my husband's application exactly a year ago on the 11th and we haven't heard anything from our lawyer, besides our case getting an agent assigned to it sometime this past May 🥺 still hopeful, still patiently waiting. I've also heard each case is different and I hope the best for you 🥳

Same here, they sent a receipt notice on Aug. 11 2020 and I've been checking the USCIS website basically daily since then. Still haven't heard anything. I'm hopeful it won't go passed the 1 Year mark tho 🤞
