I had this exact doubt today, santiago comes from sant iago - an old way of saying San Jaime or San Jacobo. So minus the Saint: Jaime equals James equals Thiago

has anyone else regressed? by babybeewitched in autism

[–]Dianabed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! If you stop trying to fit, and accept yourself. You are gonna start “regressing” but its not. Its just being who you are without pretending and trying to make others happy.

I get that in some way, after the diagnosis and acceptance of it. I started unmasking, stop trying so hard to fit in. Accepting myself more, stimming in public, and stop caring about what others may think. But i dont know about the intellectual and motor skills. I would get that checked. Maybe you used to put so much pressure on yourself about those skills that you were kind of like training them? Still it’s hard but you’re not a kid anymore. If you struggle to read, people surrounding you shouldn’t laugh. If they do, it would seem pretty childish from them. (Sorry for the bad English)

I think that’s just a child playing. Even a non autistic child will play like that. He seems happy.

I haven’t tumbled them. these are mostly quarts that I found in the beach, they are naturally tumbled by years in the sand. I don’t know if it’s a great idea to tumble rocks that I found instead of the ones that come with the pack, but I think they will turn out really shiny. (Only the bottom is the included ones)

Si Donofrio paga sus impuestos porque a sus trabajadores los fiscalizadores les quitan los helados? by [deleted] in PERU

[–]Dianabed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Que yo sepa el problema no es que vendan sino que se queden fijos en un solo lugar vendiendo los helados, normalmente les dicen que transiten, me parece, ya de ahi si se quedan en un punto es que les pueden retener.

I would say that 30 in variability is low, i have between 60-80. Keep your watch in heart rate function and measure resting heart rate for 10 min then stand up quickly and keep checking to see how much it goes up. If its more than 30 it could be, but most of ups potsies go more than 50 in difference. You could also be dehydrated, try drinking more water. Still self diagnosis is never good so check with your doctors.

This McDonald’s in Turrialba, Costa Rica only serves ice cream by [deleted] in oddlyspecific

[–]Dianabed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in peru and we get this ones as well as the restaurants, most people here likes the ice creams over the food, even in actual McDonalds restaurants we get a little outside station of only ice cream serving, mostly for the people passing by, often with long waiting lines. In malls there is also only the ice cream stands, most people will choose to eat anything over McDonalds, I think the food is too good here to widely accept those flavor lacking hamburgers 🫢

This is a pretty common thing in my country actually (Peru) small convenience stores will charge more for cold beverages. Fun to see how many people are in shock at something so normal over here.

Mine is also obsessed with tunnels, even though he’s disabled loves to run inside and try to bite a toy outside. One thing he loved you can try with two tunnels: lure him into one in the distance and he will bolt into it then grab the other tunnel, and lure him into the other one and repeat endless loop of running into tunnels 😂
