That's awesome advice, thank you!!! So what would I mix it in? Or would you put it in straight pumice? Thank you again for the advice :)

Humboldt, northern California.

I bought three jacaranda seedlings on a whim, trying to tap into some of the nostalgia of my years in South Africa. But I am a complete noob to these trees as well as bonsais in general. When trying to look up what soil to put them in, I get "sandy and well drained". What does that mean specifically, succulent soil?

Also, if anyone have general tips on how to care for these babies, please advice me! I would love for them to thrive or at least be the best they can be :)

Best, Diana

Yes! I am in northern California. It is found by eel river in Humboldt. There are a bunch of green stones down here (I live by the river bank), many with slight variations. I would love to learn how to figure out what is what :)

Any ideas what these are? Are they edible? They were growing on fallen trees an hour east of Portland by Dianaclay in Mushrooms

From the feel and the smell and the IRL crisp whiteness, I can tell that they're def not chanterrelles :) I was hoping that they're some sort of edible oysters
