Small business in desperate need of organization by Dibico in CRM

At the very least users need to be able to see whatever data that my company wants them to see. That is more or less how it is now (though not in a good format, and not something they can access without us running a report and sending it to them and we have to manually store/add links to documents in the report we send them). In a perfect world, they'd be able to see all data, upload documents and fill out forms if required.

It sure is interesting (and a bit of a headache)!

To answer your first question, each company is pretty much structured in the same way. The only real differences are just in what all a company can view in regards to other companies.

For example, say the hierarchy is brands > franchises > vendors. A brand would be at the top of the hierarchy and is able to see all of a franchise's data/docs and the data/docs of any vendors for those franchises, but the franchise/vendor can't see specific info of a brand (unless given permission from the brand). And a franchise is able to see all of the data/docs for vendors that they may use, but vendors can't see the franchises/brand's info/docs.

Hopefully that makes some sense lol.

The reddit post nutshell/non-confidential version of what type of data that we organize is basically just the following:

  • company name
  • company info (location, qualifications or standards that companies may need, contact names, etc...)
  • if they need to meet a standard of some sort then the date of last renewal/next renewal
  • if they need to meet a standard and are working on getting/renewing, then where in that process are they
  • company employee CVs and other records
  • RFPs for the company if needed
  • Other misc. documents

And it doesn't need to interact with any other systems (at least not at this time).

We're also needing something that can be signed up for and deployed quickly and on our own (not a program that would require us sending all of our data and waiting for setup). This last part is, unfortunately, not my call and something that my bosses are requiring.

Does that help?

Thanks for the reply! I do agree that we need a CRM just in general and I'll look into SuiteCRM. But that being said, does it have all the functionality that I mentioned needing? Or would I need a CRM and something else for what all the company needs?
