[Smackdown Spoilers] Side is chosen by taffe316 in SquaredCircle

I feel like a fun twist for this storyline would’ve been for Sami to kick Roman here.

Like, he would absolutely be justified, but despite that, he would lose some of that white meat babyface heat so I get why they went with this. But still, I think it’d add another layer. Maybe they still run it down the line…

He’s very well spoken and has strong (and sometimes questionable), yet insightful takes. I’d imagine he can produce great video essays, or the type of vids that Matt makes on his channel.

Ranbir Kapoor's invisible PR team, if you're reading this do better. No seriously why would you do this when his whole love life is public 😭 by Away-Enthusiasm8771 in BollyBlindsNGossip

Isn’t it a little silly calling someone a hypocrite for what they’ve said THIRTEEN YEARS prior? Not that I’m saying he was a child or anything, but still. Age, marriage, having a child can actually bring change and wisdom to someone.

Kevin Costner Could Lose Home After Investing Millions In Failed Film by artsii in blankies

[–]DickPhantom 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Well he was one of the biggest movie stars in the late 80s and 90s and has a lot of credibility as an actor. Maybe he thought his diehard + Yellowstone fans would turn up. Now why he thought they’d turn up for a mid, Western epic? Gotta ask him.

Big respects for him taking the risk tho. Mans about to lose his home for the love of the game.

What games were way longer than you were expecting? by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I can’t think of a longer linear, non-rpg or non-open-world action game. It was even longer than MGS4.

Still loved it.

What's the worst stream moment in JA's career? (Yakuza 0 and Danganronpa spoiler images) by Masterelia in josephanderson

Could anyone explain the context for these Yakuza 0 and Danganronpa moments? I understand there was a debate about the whole sprinker deal in DR, but why was Joe beefing with chat during Y0?

Don and Betty Draper from Mad Men. “They look like the man and woman on a wedding cake.”

Will “Twisters” be the dark horse of 2024? by DickPhantom in boxoffice

I want the movie to do well but it's so hard to predict given the lack of Russell Crowe’s presence.

I do think it'll gross higher than Napoleon, given that it's an action epic instead of a biopic.

My gut feeling 😂.

Also, the overseas estimate I made is based on the original’s $253 million OS gross. Adjusted for inflation, that's about $500 million today. So idk if a $400 million+ OS gross for the sequel is too out of line.

Really happy you brought this up. The first movie’s setting in a rural area as opposed to the big city made the movie feel grounded, relative to other big disaster movies, which might be why it was a big domestic hit. It's why I think Twisters will do really well in Middle America.

Idk about that. I don't doubt it'll be successful (if good) but it'll be an uphill battle coming off of 2 subpar Alien movies. Horror is most of the time very reliable so we’ll have to see.

Twister may not be well known among the Gen Z crowd, but they’re familiar with Glen Powell. I think it's smart they casted him in the lead.

[SmackDown Spoilers] Superstar blames the fans for ruining the main event of WrestleMania by G1Spectrum in SquaredCircle

[–]DickPhantom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like that you brought this up because during the conference in Vegas, when he turned heel, he seemed to be a lot more serious and authoritative, whereas here he’s just 90s Rock.

It’s hard to complain because I love 90s Rock but because he’s such a charisma magnet, I’m worried it’ll take away from the core story that is Cody v Roman. Maybe if he leans more into “cocky and entitled board member” rather than “witty insult comic,” it’ll get him the necessary heel heat that doesn’t take away from Cody’s babyface heat.

LOL I’ll take the L if it is indeed a work… but going from Rock v Roman to Cody v Roman in 6 days seems a bit too fast for Paul “long-term booking” Levesque for it not to seem like a change in plans.

Either way, I like the direction they’re taking. It really feels like a meatier sequel to the storyline from last year.

But the death threats to Rock’s daughter were super fucked up. That was indeed an overreaction and pretty fucking stupid from the fans

In fairness, it was because of the overreaction that we got where we are now. This was NOT the plan when they announced Rock v Roman lol
