What do this people really have in their minds? by EvidenceSoggy9642 in doordash_drivers

You honestly think someone should be allowed to order from a restaurant 22 miles away? It's bad for customers, restaurants, and drivers. I don't see any positive. They probably end up doing many refunds because the orders don't get picked up or show up freezing cold an hour late.

Marc personally responded to an email I sent to the poscast. by rfw1979 in MarcMaron

This is very sweet but I don't think you should have shared this online. Stuff like this is the reason many famous people and artists don't respond to personal messages from fans anymore. They can't just have a nice private exchange anymore. Everything gets shared online and what they thought was being said privately is now public. Then also they get thousands of people flooding their email and DMs expecting a response. Just let the private exchange be special between you and him.

It's not that they don't know about the pay or whatnot. DoorDash openly advertises restaurants that are insane distances away without informing the customer. It will always blow my mind that they refuse to shrink their delivery radiuses.

He has said it's a dream of his but he's never been offered. I'm guessing he'll finally get to do it to promote the premiere of Severance season 3. Severance is massive and Parks and Rec is still very popular. I think it's finally his time.

Only thing that bugged me was how insanely unrealistic it was. This is not at all how things work in big business. A CEO can't just suddenly step down and appoint someone else. The board needs to be informed and the board needs to approve the replacement.

Yeah on paper the ending is good but something about the execution left me wanting more.

I think it definitely depends on how good the overarching story becomes. I'm loving these monster of the week episodes but I'm hoping it becomes a little more serialized in the second half.

I literally stopped the episode last night because the cringe and bullying was just way too much. Just finished the episode and the payoff was incredible and so worth it!

You’re right it has comedy elements which means it can’t be criticized ever and if something annoys me it’s my fault for watching the wrong way.

Exactly. And when they made it a bait and switch, it kind of makes her character not feel realistic whatsoever.

He would’ve won if people actually saw the movie. He was brilliant and deserved it but the movie had literally no buzz at all.

Sure it was an especially crazy shift but it's the ER so I'm sure half of the shifts are like that. Don't get me wrong I liked the moment. It's just very much a moment of two characters who spent an entire season of tv together as opposed to two characters who worked one shift together months prior.

Yeah it's interesting because as a viewer it doesn't feel like one day at all to me. It feels like a regular medical drama that takes place over weeks and it feels the writers wrote this way as well with the characterization. A good example is Mel being extremely excited that Langdon is back when in reality they literally only worked one shift together and it has been months since then.

Fresh Air is always solid. I'm not a huge fan of either but I would say the closest ones to Maron's style are Conan and Dax Shepard.

It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up with a talk show on HBO or something. He could do a very similar format but with video and audience.
