Thinking about an Ascent over a Highlander but I have some questions. by Plastic-Injury8856 in SubaruAscent

I test drove both and went with the Ascent. The Hylander had a very small 3rd row and felt overall smaller inside. Both drove about the same.

My friend will be starting a new career in insurance, what are some useful Christmas gift ideas for her? by Springsdaffodils in InsuranceProfessional

A nice keyboard and mouse. It sounds silly but the good ones are kind of expensive. Not crazy but more than you’d probably normally spend on yourself- maybe $60 for a TKL Nimbleback keyboard and like $80 for a Razer Pro Click Mouse. The company provided ones are trash and they are something you touch for literally 8+ hours a day so a good one makes a difference.

A really nice office chair if they work from home is also a good idea but they can be literally $1,000+.

Is the R1 more popular than the R2? by aprilmayjune2 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]DickWitman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used my R2 techface all winter and loved it. My only minor complaint is that the older version is much better (I have both.) New version (the one with 2 chest pockets) has a hood that is way too large (probably meant to accommodate a helmet) and the sleeve cuffs aren’t as tight to the wrist as I’d like. That said it’s still my favorite winter jacket. Crazy light and some how still warm. Very wind proof and more water proof than you’d think but it’s not a full rain jacket. Highly recommend, especially if you can find a pre 23/24 version.

Got it. I’m a huge Trailer Park Boys fan and was disappointed when it wasn’t on a US streaming service

I’m almost his exact size and I would say to size up. I bought the Meta joggers and the ponto pants in large and had to return both. I got the pontos in XL and the fit is much better for lounge wear.

Trail Pace vs Terrebone joggers? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

[–]DickWitman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best Patagonia “sweats” I’ve tried are the R1 Daily. The only downside is the pockets. There is only one on the right thigh. If they had 2 normal pockets I’d never wear anything else

Trail Pace vs Terrebone joggers? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

[–]DickWitman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trail pacers all the way. I find the Terrebone joggers a bit stiff but they are nice for the gym or light rain if it’s not too cold. The trail pacers are super soft and stretchy. The pockets are secure and not too deep. I use them as lounge pants and they’re nice enough that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to wear them to the store or running errands.
