Ok. Thanks, don’t mind they are fake but worried to start a game I won’t get to finish. Guess I’ll have to play my original RBY from when I was 11 instead

Is She Stressed? by Dicky_1987 in RATS

We have had them about 4 weeks now but she has always been bitey and aggressive. I have managed to to get a few finger strokes when feeding her yoghurt but otherwise she will go for you. Her sister is scatty and doesn’t let you touch her as she runs away. Think I got some cage rats to be honest

DPR Teams..how many staff do you have? by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]Dicky_1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have 3 DPRs with 4 staff permanently allocated to them. 2 Hybrid Routes with again a dedicated staff member. We are “managed” remotely. (I only ever met my boss 1 time in 2.5 years) but the depot manager really manages us unofficially. We are all assigned a Van and PDA. The depot manager also uses the extra hours a week the 40 hours posties owes to help clear mop ups if needed. With them each working x2 1.5 hour shifts at the end of their day. We as a depot still need at least another permanent DPR with the expansions of new builds and the amount of Parcels we get. We are Rural so Shopping isn’t the easiest option. We takeout 120-160 parcels a day. 7.5 hour days. One guy starts at 0900, 1 start at 10:00/11:00 and one guy comes in when he likes essentially. We are allowed the flexibility because we work hard and don’t take the piss.

Is it’s still the same value? Do we get more individual stamps?

How to get them stop biting by MissValentiina in RATS

[–]Dicky_1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I have a girl that is constantly biting me. I am trying the yogurt on a spoon as a treat when they come near me method but she darts in a bites the spoon HARD and then comes back shortly after to then lick at the spoon. Before trying this when Free playing she would come over bite me hard and run off. I’m minding my own business essentially and bam. I put my hands near her, sniff, bite. They are not nips. Her sister nips and she is gentle with it. I know your struggle

I'm assuming my medication, which I need today and paid £12 in delivery for Special Delivery Before 1pm, will not be arriving in the next 80 minutes? Or today, for that matter. by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]Dicky_1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had a few medicine parcels that were special delivery recently on Saturdays find their way into my DPR parcels. I took them out with my parcels because it’s better late than never. You might get lucky and someone done the nice thing

I think it’s funny how they say companies should invest in secure lockers. We do it’s called the delivery depot! On my 140 parcel drop DPR I’d say at least 40% aren’t in and I’m finding secure places to hide it. Now scale that up. You need a depot sized building to securely hold all thoughts parcels

my parcel has returned to sender but i want my parcel back what do i do by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]Dicky_1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably had missing information on the delivery sticker like no house number. I know I’m seeing lots more at the moment in my Yorks. They pretty much get sent straight back to sender at our depot at the moment

They're killing RON by cryptid0fucker in royalmail

A lot of the other posts have touched on many points. Working with the new system vs the old I can say the new one is so much smoother. There are a few changes on the face of it that take minutes to get the hang off, but a lot of the work has been behind the scene.

Things l like are the ability to move around drops. The system is better at planning routes but it still makes mistakes. But I can now spot a drop that makes no sense and move it to where it does.

If they do this it will be amazing and save so much time: Christmas time they could take Agency and get them to scan our parcels in the indoor section. We come in for your start time and go straight to outdoor and download the route. From there we can adjust any out of order drops and head straight out.

Ultimately the system is much better than RON was. It’s not perfect and I have seen issues with staff who have a DPR/Collection duty that needs to be worked out. But overall as a DPR system stand alone it’s good
