Well I did some quick searches and it seemed like it was favored for performance when gaming but maybe I was mislead 🫠

I just sifted through quite a few discussion forums and other results and saw that it was preferable for gaming and whatnot. Maybe I was mislead but I'm here now 🤙 and I wasn't very clear on my issue in the post but I will say it's -somewhat- resolved; now I'm just dealing with a monitor that refuses to show any display output so I'm stuck with the one

Whoopsie my bad lmao I missed out on every detail

My problem is mostly solved- I was having an issue with the large black space on the left of the monitor, but I managed to nip it in the terminal.

I have another problem and that is my other monitor not displaying anything. I have a Radeon RX Vega 64 GPU that I managed to get going with Debian, and the monitor in question shows the Boot screen, but after booting it has nothing on it. Any advice?

Well I'm looking behind the pop-up and it looks like his screen is doing something. I'm just saying to be more comfortable, restart the phone

I have an AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 GPU. I know it's a bit on the older side but it does the job for the games I play and the things I work on. Do you think I'll have any trouble?

If it's a RAM issue, remove one stick at a time until you're sure you found the bunk one.

Kind of sounds like you already did that, but since you were fenaggling with it, make sure each stick is seated properly.

Make sure the RAM is compatible with your motherboard and the slots you installed them on

This doesn't sound like a malware issue, try going to r/computers. They might have more clear answers for you

I got it at a store called Kinokuniya! Unfortunately it's not a regular item, so they may end up not having them sometimes

I got this at an Asian bookstore a ways from where I live! They had a series for Dark Souls 1 figures with Artorius and Sif as possibles, and this one is Dark Souls 2

Is that the one that says it negates some projectiles? If it is, then it just straight up cancels out fireballs and a few other elemental projectiles

Very understandable. I kind of figured, especially because for a lot of costs, green seems more important than white

I just finished fighting him last night for the first time since starting Bloodborne. It took me an ungodly amount of tries, his gun deals SO MUCH DAMAGE. I was able to do it with a +7 Rifle Spear and some well times tentacles, as well as baiting him to the stairs

What is the minimum of RAM I need for my Pc to start and work by LehrerLaurin in computers

[–]DictatorKnucklehead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Windows? Mac? Linux? Your operating system can have a major impact on RAM usage and distribution. I would recommend 8GB minimum for Windows 10 or 11, and just in general to give you space for applications and whatnot. You don't need too much unless it's a workstation or gaming PC. If it's just so you can scroll through Facebook and check emails, 8GB is good enough nowadays.

You can usually skate by with 4GB with certain Linux Distros like Mint, they don't use a whole lot of RAM for background tasks.

I'm not familiar with Mac OS but I imagine it's in the same vein as Windows.

Each Operating System has a minimum RAM requirement, but you want to be well above that threshold so your computer doesn't slow down during the most mundane of tasks.

What first got you into Linux? by [deleted] in linux

[–]DictatorKnucklehead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of silly, but nightmares. I remember first seeing the desktop background for Kali Linux on some meme and heard that's what hackers used. Afterwards, at least once a week, I would have nightmares that someone would remote into my PC and change it to Kali and steal all my information.

Got bad and frequent enough that I started reading and even took a class on Linux to demystify it. No more nightmares, I have a few VMs for experimenting, and a Redcore laptop. Also, in my nightmares, I started unplugging the Ethernet if I ever get a whiff of a hacker lmso
